Kisan Andolan and Parade:
Dear friends, despite several rounds of talks between the farmer leaders and the government, the deadlock remains as such. Now ,when the government has accepted the demand of farmers to be part of Republic Day parade , though at the separate place; the wisdom lies in organising it with "grace".As the participants have promised that it will be a peaceful event, the government should show big heart by allowing optimum facilities and logistics to the farmers ,for this parade. Being a democratic country, peaceful protest has be treated as a part of democratic process. Let the world see that Indian democracy has risen to the level that it doesn't mind a parallel protest ,with national day parade,as freedom of expression for attaining certain rights or fulfillment of demands.
Those going to take part in civil parade, should also keep in mind that their activities should reflect the disagreement and not divide of people of our motherland. Ultimately, this issue will also be sorted out one day or another, but the damage done ,if by any party ,farmers or government, will surely make us bow our heads in shame ,in front of the rest of the world. Personally ,I wouldn't mind if the participants of the civil parade express their difference of opinion with skilful driving of tractors or riding on horses,in peaceful manner. Let us all keep in mind that Republic Day celebration is a family function of our country and all the members have to show enough wisdom to keep intact the "good name" of united and joint family, which we lovingly call, Bharat.
