Our Host Estrellita, is a 1st Generation Grad Student who is studying for her Teaching Credential & Master's in Education. CCE knows, being the first in your family to do anything can feel nerve wrecking, especially coming from a Latinx household. CCE’s mission it to be a resource for all of mi gente, and break down all the social and academic stigmas that try to limit what we can accomplish. 2021 has honestly felt like such a unbelievable yet empowering blur for me. ♥️ From completing my Teacher exams, getting cleared for field work, a virtual keynote speaker for First-Gen week, continuing to produce podcast episodes, getting invited to speak at Harvard University AND creating a closer and more sentimental bond with my family by slowly breaking generational cycles I couldn’t be more GRATEFUL 🥺♥️ thank you mi Gente for being here with my this year… I did a lot of things I never thought I could do, because I didn’t feel “smart” enough … and helping me open doors I never thought could ever exist for me to open as a first-gen Latina… which is so so wrong that’s just imposter syndrome talking!! Lol

Los quiero mucho, next stop New York. ♥️✨

Why did I start this podcast?

As a first generation minority student, I had all odds against me. I was not suppose to graduate, but I did.

With the help of university resources, mentorship programs, and therapy my academic and entrepreneur path excelled more than what I’d imagine.

Now, I want to be that guide for you. CCE’s mission it to be a resource for all of mi gente, and break down all the social and academic stigmas that try to limit what we can accomplish.
