New solo episode is up! 🎙💕 This week I will be sharing consejitos on how to balances the Individualistic culture of Higher Education while coming from a Collectivistic Latinx background. The short answer, it is not easy and at times can feel extremely overwhelming. However, it is possible and it's important to remember that the individualistic culture of being a grad student is not going to last forever. It is temporary, pero la familia and your personal growth that can also help them grow, that is long term. And having that self awareness is important because the individualistic side of academia can get messy, but it is possible to set those boundaries and say no when needed. Link in bio 🥰

"nobody knows what they are doing" and “what does not kill you, makes you stronger.” And if these statements are viewed in a positive as well as growing light, you may be surprised at how reassuring these cliche sayings can be.
