Meet Sonny Thakur, one of our guests for Hustle/Hassle.

Having first studied mechanical engineering, Sonny Thakur followed his passions and has become a photographer and a co-founder of his own magazine - Grid Magazine PH. Well-traveled, well-fed, and well-bred, Sonny is a commercial, editorial, travel, and food photographer and a home cook.

When he isn’t working for publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Forbes, Esquire, and Travel + Leisure, he’s running his own (Grid Magazine PH).

Though Sonny has trained his eye in cities from New York to Manila, he finds himself returning consistently to the kitchen. He prefers hard cheeses to soft cheeses.

Meet one of our guests for Hustle/Hassle.

Mayk Juat is a video director and editor. His time has been spent working with creative agencies, local small businesses up to multinational companies, helping them develop concepts and producing their videos.

He has also run businesses related to production and creative advertising. Since 2006, he’s built and ran Keyframe Video Productions, a quant video production house, and it transitioned into a creative advertising agency and production house in 2014, which he co-managed and was head of the production department. He then spent over a year running and directing another video production house, Three Spheres, as a content production house for small and local businesses.

His focus as both a director and editor is to always understand, communicate and execute upon how the target audience communicates and where they watch the video. He always keeps in mind the objective of why we are creating the video and ties it to the creative ex*****on so that it is entertaining to watch as well.

He graduated and taught at De La Salle University with a degree in Organizational Communications and took his master’s in Ateneo Business School in Entrepreneurship.

He lives and works in Makati, Philippines. He is very techie, likes working out, and is very much a foodie.
