“Object Permanence,” a microshort by Split Prism

Back in February, we had the great joy of creating this very short film for LA Loft Movie Club. What resulted was a sweet, albeit heartrending, film about what is left behind when we lose a loved one. Object Permanence is filmic collage of grief for Jess’ grandmother, compiled with new footage of inherited items and old voicemails spanning nearly 8 years.

We have a special relationship with VAFF, as it was such an important part of Jess & Drew’s time at UVA. Therefore we are overcome and honored to be screening Wired at VAFF this year 📽️🍿

We are excited to announce that we are now Emmy Nominated Filmmakers!

This Tuesday evening, we were notified that Drew & Jess' work on the TV show Live To Farm has been recognized with an Emmy nomination in the Editing - Long Form Content category by the Chicago/Midwest Chapter: National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

We are honored and thrilled to have this acknowledgment of our efforts. We feel grateful for the opportunities we’ve had thus far, and are propelled onward by this validating accreditation.
