It’s race day for the V8 SCOPS Premier Series Sandown 500!

Coby and Liam ended up in P8 for pre-qualifying, meaning they will be the eighth-to-last car out in the full field shootout.

Race is due to start at 16:15 AEDT (15:15 AEST)!

SUMMIT LAUNCH SCOPS CAMPAIGN

Behind-the-scenes efforts have optimized the Flash Graphics Commodore for its first-ever V8 SCOPS Premier Series outing at the Sandown 500. With one day to go of pre-qualifying, Coby Jones at the helm, the #50 sits in P6. 💪🏽

Coby will partner with Liam Reston for the race, kicking off tomorrow with a full-field qualifying session, with the field getting a singular lap to decide the starting grid.

SUMMIT RETURN TO OPEN WHEEL COMPETITION WITH CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORY 🏆

Summit Sim Sports have stamped their authority on The Gentlemen's Sim Racing Club Incorporated Open Wheel racing spectrum after wrapping up the Spreyton Cider’s Super Formula Lights drivers and teams championship titles!

Jaxon Reihana and Jamie Welch chipped away throughout the season, with Jaxon delivering 10 race wins and 7 pole positions during the course of the 10 round championship, and Jamie backing up with podiums and solid results throughout the season to help claim the team’s championship.

The boys now look forward to next season, with Jaxon looking to enter the FRG Australian Formula Ford Championship, and Jamie looking to continue his progression and success in the GSRC Open wheel categories. 🤞🏽

A return to Le Mans is on the horizon with the crew taking on the GSRC 6 Hours of Le Mans as part of the GSRC Endurance Championship!

The boys look to extend their championship lead and grow on their result from the previous round at Suzuka - where they won the 6hr event by over a lap in challenging conditions.

A massive thanks again to John Simpson @ Flash Graphics for the new ‘Art Car’ design and the promotional poster, the hype is real!

THE SUMMIT SQUAD IS BACK

After a hefty hiatus, the boys have returned for a run at the OSR - Oceanic Sim Racing Bathurst 12 Hour tomorrow.

Liam Reston, Jaxon Reihana and Paul Wood will be piloting the #55 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for the once-round-the-clock classic, with the green flag dropping at 9am AEDT (8am AEST).

Liam put in a huge effort and single handedly threw the big Benz onto 11th for the grid. A huge effort considering this year the Mercedes is definitely not the favoured car to be driving.

Summit Sim Sports is proud to have 2 entries for the upcoming Motorsport Australia iRacing Asia Pacific Single Seater eSports Qualifier Series!
Liam Reston and Angus Cooke both securing a spot after an intense and hardfought few days of Qualifying. The top 40 qualifiers we're only seperated by 1 second, so go have made the field is an incredible achievement.

We look forward to the short, sharp 3 round series that is to come, with Flash Graphics working on a new livery for the team to carry into the series.

The final round of the Apex Hunters United Endurance Series powered by VCO is headed to the mighty Daytona International Speedway. 10 hours on the Road Course layout of the Superspeedway guarantees tight pack racing, with massive speed differentials on the high banking.
The Everest car looks to consolidate a solid run of form to snag a podium finish in the series, and finally, take a win after 3 podiums this season already.

The tight, twisty, rollercoaster-like circuit will be a challenge for our two LMP2 entries whilst navigating GT traffic. Both cars will be looking to consolidate their championship position and continue a great run of podiums in the series.

PODIUM STREAK CONTINUES ON THE ISLAND

Summit Sim Sports run of podiums in the Apex Hunters United Endurance Series powered by VCO has yet again extended, with a win still eluding the team....
Splitting strategies early on, the K2 car led 18 laps before a stray GT3 car hindered the advantage gained from not pitting. Both cars fought to stay on the lead lap, with a late safety car guaranteeing the team top 6 positions. Liam Reston was able to climb the Everest car up into P2 in the final stint, 5 seconds off eventual race winners Drop Bear Motorsport.

After switching to the Ferrari and with the assistance of our SimBlacks drivers, the GT3 AM entry ran into early trouble and unfortunately had to retire the car early in the race.

Round 5 takes the team to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for a 4-hour race in 3 weeks time.

Summit continues to climb!

Podiums continue as the Everest car climbs from 4th on the grid to again finish mere seconds from the lead. A grueling 6 hours around the tight Suzuka Circuit saw all 3 cars finish in the top 10. Special thanks to Tao Soerono and Dion DeGraaf who joined the team to assist in filling some driver gaps. Despite a changing roster, pace continued to build an momentum is rising as we go to a driver vote circuit for round 4.

How's the new Flash Graphics Mustang! John Simpson does the double and wins both heats in The Gentlemen's Sim Racing Club V8 Development Split with his new livery on debut. Angus Cooke also featured on the podium in the feature race, in the Summit Sim Sports Commodore.

Reston charges through to the podium!

A bumpy day around Sebring International Raceway saw all 3 entries run into trouble, with K2 taken out at turn one and Blanc running into technical dramas. The Everest however scored its maiden pole position in the hands of Liam Reston, outqualifying no less than Synergy Sim Racing's Wayne Bourke and Apex Hunters United driver Ben Cornett.

Dropping down the field, the Everest car was handed over to Liam with just over an hour to go in 8th position. Charging through the field, along with some good pit strategy saw Liam jump back up to P3 with just over 15 minutes to go, where the podium position was cemented.

The first podium for the Everest car and 3 podiums across all 3 entries have shown the true pace the team has. R3 takes us to Suzuka in a few week's time.

With most drivers visiting Sebring International Raceway for the first time, the race will be a learning curve. After two podiums in two classes, the team hopes to capitalise on automatic pre-qualification and cement their spots in the championship.
