An instance of bad beats during the first match against Sincity MTG in the Quarterly Content Creator Tournament.

Context: Tortex is a very fun and somewhat potent pauper deck based around the card Tortured Existence. It cycles through cards and generates card advantage. It is a hard card to address for me (I play monoblack). So getting a turn 1 Duress was my only out. Sometimes it is better to have dumb luck on your side.

The guy that runs Sincity MTG is a really fun person to play magic with, and luckily he wasn't any saltier than the situation justified XD

So we've been starting our D&D content in earnest. This is based on a combat encounter we ran last weekend as part of my D&D group going through the classic AD&D module Against the Cult of the Reptile God (which we've been adapting for 5e)
