Decades of Neglect: The Lungi Kissi Speedboat Terminal, left in decay since the 80s. Despite the growing importance of tourism and maritime transport, these crucial infrastructure sites remain stuck in the past, marred by outdated facilities and poor waste management. It's time for the government and relevant authorities to step up and invest in the future of our coastlines and tourism industry. "

Sierra Leone’s Hidden Struggles Uncovered!"

Kissy and Lungi Tagrin Ferry Terminals are the heart of Sierra Leone – the first places overseas visitors encounter. But despite the paved roads, there are major issues: no proper drainage, trash along the road, and algae buildup making the area look neglected. 🚧

In my latest vlog, I’ve spoken with local leaders, tourists, and residents who are calling for urgent change. These challenges are holding back the tourism potential of this beautiful country.

"Today, I visited Lumley and Aberdeen beaches and was shocked to see the amount of trash that has been piling up over the last four months. The litter is not only an eyesore but also a health hazard as it's floating in the water where our people swim and play. This is a call to action for the Ministry of Tourism and all those responsible for maintaining our beaches. Our natural resources deserve better care, and it’s time for our leaders to take responsibility and clean up our environment. The health and safety of our communities depend on it. Let’s rally for change! "The recent announcement of a $400M MCC grant for Sierra Leone has sparked excitement, but we must question the urgency behind it. Previous financial aid from the World Bank, IMF, and other international partners has yielded minimal impact. Are we just chasing more funds without ensuring accountability? Our country deserves better outcomes, not just promises.
