Have you ever heard the saying.. âFake it till you make itâ in direct sales or just in general, every day life? Itâs attached to a meme or quote that we all see from time to time and I find it bothersome. Donât fake it till you make it. No! Donât do that. Whoever thinks thatâs having a healthy mindset is a little off-track. It truly is garbage advice. Faking it makes you âlook fakeâ and trust can be lost instantly.
Is this you? Do you find yourself faking it? Hoping that youâll make it? What you're really doing is sabotaging yourself by not taking the time to learn the skills you need to succeed. You may be masking other positive aspects of your personality too. It might seem better to pretend like you know more than you do, but that approach can work against you in the long run, and hold you back!
So what can you do? You need to keep trying and taking on challenges. Self-confidence is linked to almost every element of a happy and fulfilling life. It comes from a place deep within, a place where we know we are enough, and we don't need to prove it. The best thing you can do is THIS... you face it. Get up, work hard, and yes, sometimes fail. Stand back up and face it again. Do it a little better, fail again, and get back up. Keep repeating.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to improve and get better, in fact, I encourage this mindset, but authenticity matters.â„ïž

A lot of people will tell you that you can be a successful salesperson by mimicking what the top reps do, but this isnât a practical strategy. The only way to be successful in sales is to stick to who you are and leverage your inborn talents and abilities.
Anyone can get a sale by being pushy, but you can and will lose relationships by not being yourself. Was the sale really worth it? Probably not.
So, just be YOU!! đ€đ

Itâs so true! Approach each customer with the idea of helping them solve a problem or achieve a goal! Donât try to jump right in there and sell them your products or sell them on your service. Your goal is to help them and be genuine. Build that relationship first!
We hear the word ânoâ a lot in the Direct Sales world. Please remember that even though there might be some ânoâ or âno thanksâ replies, there is someone out there waiting to say YES!
Donât focus on feeling rejected. Redirect that energy towards your future sale! Keep going.

Just because something may not come naturally to you, doesnât mean you canât acquire that skill with practice. Both have great qualities and both can succeed.
All it takes is some determination and the intention to learn. We all have the means to grow, and to either become more âextrovertedâ or to take on the subtleties of an âintrovertâ.
How introverts are winning people over:
1. Introverts tend to be less aggressive or âpushyâ. Many people are turned off by pushy sales people.
2. Introverts also tend to take more time thinking through options. You give quality answers, rather than quick salesy info.
3. Introverts are more understanding and think before they speak. This builds trust as well.
It can be much harder for us as introverts to engage in sales activities, but if you persevere and push yourself and stay true to being YOU, you will see growth in yourself and, most likely, your business too!
Ever have a bad day while trying to run your Direct Sales business? You survived it! And the next bad day and the next one. And more will come & pass.
We ALL have a bad day... whether itâs with promoting, dealing with shipping delays, other things out of our control, feeling lost, family distracting us, friends not jumping on board, not making any sales, not adding to your team. You are NOT ALONE!!

In Direct Sales, the biggest thing is that you have to have a solid work ethic and you also need to be comfortable with being your own boss. Nothing is going to happen without you making it happen.
