On Monday, I had the incredible privilege of attending a jam session for Strokestra! It’s a program through several organizations that ensure stroke survivors have access to music. I left feeling incredibly excited and then I was reminded of Psalm 150:6 — “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” Grateful for the opportunity to share in such a beautiful day of music and honor the Lord! #BirthTraumaStories #PerinatalTrauma #FaithThroughMusic #PraiseHim #HealingThroughHymns
Today is my daughter’s first horse show! 🐴🩵After I met one of the fellow barn moms she described to me how much it’s fills her heart to see her daughter show. I politely agreed. But in my head I was thinking about all that Chloe Anne and I have been through together.Wow. Just wow. God is SO good! ...#BirthTraumaStories #PerinatalStories #GodisSoGood #Glimmers_of_Hope #endAFE
On Wednesday I tried a new pain management treatment called Neuro Prolo Therapy. We did three locations: Sternum, my right thigh, and calf. Neuro Prolo Therapy sounds fancy but it really is just sugar water. My mind was blown that doctors told me they inject sugar water into scars and nerves that are “over firing”. My neurologist diagnosed me with a pain syndrome so I’m really hoping this will help and I can decrease my pain meds. Acupuncture was helping a lot but my insurance won’t pay for it anymore and it’s expensive. Please pray it works! #BirthTraumaStories #PerinatalTrauma #NeuroProloTherapy #HolisticHealing #Dextrose

October is Physical Therapist Month. If there’s one thing I’d like to say to my physical therapist it would be:• Thank you for helping me sit up in bed when I couldn’t. • Thank you for getting me home. • Thank you for improving my heart function. • Thank you for your continuous encouragement and kind words! Congrats again Cody + Emily! We love you guys so much! “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” Ephesians 5:25
This week, we are joined by Marie Brock. She’s married to Ken, and they are each other’s second marriage. Marie has two older sons from her previous marriage, and she and Ken have their youngest together, where they live in North Carolina. For 18 years, she struggled with chronic health complaints. She went through the conventional system; she was put on prescription after prescription, only to get worse. This led Marie to become a certified holistic health coach for Christian moms. She helps moms who want to heal and feel good after years of disordered eating patterns and miscarriage. Tune in to hear more!...#BirthTraumaStories #PerinatalTrauma #Miscarriage #PregnancyAndInfantLossAwarenessMonth #HolisticHealing
Your work brings hope, healing, and comfort to mothers and babies in their most critical moments. You embody Christ’s love and compassion in action.May God continue to bless and strengthen you as you care for those in need!“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Colossians 3:23.#BirthTraumaStories #PerinatalTrauma #PerinatalNursesWeek #PNW24 #FaithinAction
9.28.24Today we celebrated our 5 year Surviversary. I say our because I’m not the only person who survived that day is 2019. This journey has been a collective effort. From meals to rides. From prayers to play dates. From lawn care to housecleaning. We had (as my friend Cynthia would say) a Banner of Blessings! The journey is not yet done. Please continue to pray for our family as I continue OT & PT. “by the God of your father who will help you, by the Almighty who will bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that crouches beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb.”Genesis 49:25 #BirthTraumaStories #PerinatalTrauma #endAFE #StrokeSurvivor #BlessingsFromGod
I wiped from having a big party today so I don’t have eloquent words right now, but I’m incredibly grateful for the staff who saved Coco and made sure Claire was taken care of! #BirthTramaStories #PerinatalTrauma #NICUStaffAppreciationDay
