I am not one to dictat£ what anyone should or should not do with their space but you see this Nedu's podcast, wom£n should b0ycot it.

I think and believe Nedu has an unfinished business with wom£n! He specially derives joy in s£tting wom£n up for dràgs. He has mastered the art of putting out lnformations in ways that páints wom£n bIack and not even once has He made efforts to def£nd these wom£n.

A platform that will £dit its shows to the d£triment of those that patronised it. Yvonne Jegede paid só her movie will be promoted and what did she get? Fac£book Nigeria has been büzzing with the n£ws of a famous online personality ( Gills okeke ) who borrows to keep up with her self acclaimed "premium or nothing" lifestyle. This news came as a rud£ sh0ck to many as one cannot help but wonder the need for the unn£cessary show off .

I for one cannot understand why someone will choose strangers over herself and family. How is it possible for someone to live above her means just to earn public acknoledgement and admiration? You borrowed over 15m to go on vacations and do "giv£ away' to prove what point exactly? Who are you trying to impr£ss and/or oppr£ss? Social média people who do not car£ about you?

In my opinion, this can only happen when someone wants to climb a social class where he/she. obviously does'nt belong. To achieve this, you resort to "make believe " and land yourself in d£bt and troubl£s. Imagine the sham£ and £mbarrasment this brings to your family! Imagine the embarrasment this will bring your kîds in the future! Like they say, the Int£rnet never forgets .

Over the years, contentment has proven to be the greatest gift in rhe struggles for survivaI. Nothing b£ats the ability to live and manage life within your means. You do not need to go over board to prove to anyone you are doing well.

No one needs to go this low for social média vàlidation. You don't need a lifestyle that you will have to struggle so hard to maintain. In the énd there are people who know you and your worth. They are here on the socials and will spilll especially when you vuck up.

There's this elderly widow who worshiped in thesame parish with us. She was friends wirh grandma and visited us always. She had three sons and was a grandma too. One of her sons lived overseas with his family. The other two were in Lagos doing só well too.

This woman shuttles between her children's locations and was looking extremely fresh for her age. She had eye issues and her children were there taking her to the Best hospitals. When the doctors suggested suggery , the one abroad flew her over for the suggery and other medical care. She spent six months there and came back looking só young and beautiful. She visited my granny with gifts and stories of her sojourn abroad.

She was very happy and as always everyone celebrated her but shortly after, her son abroad stopped calling her and whenever she calls, he will end the call giving one excuse or the other, this continued till he stopped picking her calls completely. The ones in Lagos also gradually stopped communicating with her and this was how this widow lost contact with all her children. She contacted people who she believed knew her children to talk to them on her behalf but this yielded no results.

Fortunately, her late husband left a bungalow for her só she had a roof over her head. She depended on the church and neighbours to feed. She would always cry to my granny and pour out her heart while cussing out those behind her travails. This woman lived like one without a child while her children were all doing great and living large.

One Wednesday morning, she attended a normal mid-week service in the church and during the intersessory prayers, a prayer was made for fire to devour anything that is hindering anyone's progress and she prayed wirh all her heart. That evening, she received a call from the Village that her house was on fir£€...she wailed. She asked for
d€ath as everyone consoled her. She kept questioning God and asked why she was alive to witness all these €vil.

My granny brought her home as she was afraid to leave her all alone in her house. The following morning, she managed and travelled home to accertain the extent of the damage to the building as the church has volunteered to help fix it. When she got home, it was only the roofing that got burnt. As she entered her sitting room, she saw a charm hanging in the center of the roof. She screamed and people gathered. Someone went up, urinated on it and brought it down. She prayed and was told to burn the charm and she did.

As she returned to Abia that evening, her Phone started ringing like maad, her son abroad had contacted his childhood friend in abia and told him to go to their house and give his mother Phone só he could talk to her. He told her he has been looking for ways to communicate her but without success, All these while, the three brothers were not in communication with themselves and their mother. They completely forgot who they were and where they come from. This happened and lasted for over six years and no one remembered home.

Suffice it to say that the charm was made to take the children's hearts away from home só they will forget their mother. This was borne out of j£alousy and £nvy as it started
almost immediately she returned from the overseas...and while she prayed at that mid week service, God came through for her. There were suspicions but they could'nt pin it on anyone.

They renovated their father's burnt house in the Village and built a new one. Their bungalow in the City was mordernised and they got their mother a car and driver to make her mobile. She became her bubbly self again

This is not fiction, IT IS A TRUE LIFE STORY. I see her face as I write this though its been over two decades since this happened.

On the first of December 2022, my friend met one of her customers on her way to her shop and gave him a ride. This is a customer she told us comes to her shop almost everyday.

Few minutes into the ride,this màn pulIed out a g ün and ordered her to divert into the bush. She was sh0cked and slowed down out of sh0ck and this guy stabb£d her with a knif£ and told her to move to the bush. She drove while b£gging the mán to spare her lif£ .

This màn took her gold wedding band and necklace, took her phone and ATM card and took the car keys from her. He finally sh0t her as he drove away in her car. He sh0t her and left her to di£ but someone found her and took her to the h0spital where she told us what happened . Unfortunately, she didnt make it, . She DI£D!

My friend was a "good girl" who l0st her lif£ because she helped a man with a ride. She is one out of many "good girls " who have l0st their lives to these m0nsters in h’uman form. Let me refresh our memories a little, in this c0untry a " good girI" was kiIl£d on her way from work by a BRT driver in Lagos. What was her crime? Did she di£ on a whocup parole? Uwa Omozuwa was rap£d and kilIed in a church where she went to study. Was she also a call girl? Can you remember Iniobong Umeriun? A good girl who went for a job interview but was rap£d and keeed.

I am yet to understand why anyone will want tô turn the gru£some kilIing of these ladies to a campaign for decency! S’hame on you all, sham£ on everyone who has done nothing but blame the viçtims of this £vil acts. You all are só ins£nsitive and devoid of empathy!

Enough of the m0ckery! You all should use your social powers to speak against these m0nsters that are destr0ying innocent lives. Every one deserves to live irrespective of the path they have chosen...

This lady who lives in my street and was a road-side tailor... The type that specialises in mending clothes. She would mend clothes mainly for children and do other side hustles like selling nylon and washing and cleaning in a local mamaput joint on days she does'nt have works to do. She is between 36 and 40 years if i am not making mistakes

Recently, she became very scarce and hardly stays in her shop. This evening, i ran into her on my way home and decided to ride with her. I inquired why she has been só scarce. She smiled and told me she registered with one big fashion school to perfect her sewing skills. I was elated and truly happy for her.

I jokingly told her she's a big girl to have afforded that fashion school, she smiled and said; na my bobo o. I was like há, na correct bobo be that o. She kept smiling,then she said I no even believe am sef. She told me she met him at the 'mamaput" joint where she works. She brought out one beautiful phone and said let me show you...she opened her gallery and showed me this fine bobo and I was like wow! I hailed her and cheered her warmly. The joy in her was contágios and I wished her all the best.

Here I am on my bed thinking about this lady and this her bobo. Ordinarilly, One would believe no good looking guy would approach this lady not to talk of one who is well to do. From the look of things, the guy means well for her and is working hard to see her become better. He coughed a huge sum to buy her her an iphone and register her in the biggest fashion school in town I pray she has all that her heart truly desires and more.

This shows how one's life can change for the better over night. It just does'nt matter how bad your situation might be, once your time of remembrance has come, the situation changes effortlessly

I dare not sleep in the afternoon or I Will travel far and would'nt wake up for long hours(except painful measures are applied). The first time this happened, fear gripped everyone and my mother almost ran maad. A neighbour poured ice water on my head and when I woke up, they told me me what happened and I acted surprised though I know I went to be with "our mother" in the other world. Meeting her is always deeper and farther só I dr€£ad it. She gives orders and instructions and no one questions her! She has firè in her eyes and v£nom in her m0uth! Her voice thund€€rs and we tr€mbl£ at the sound of it.

Whenever I am with my seven sisters, I feel at home and oblivious of the happenings around me. We would sing, dance and play in the most innocent ways with laughters and smiles devoid of worries. I always look forward to nightfall só I could be with my "sisters".

I was known as a heavy sleeper because I would always take a very long time before I wake irrrespective of the noise around. I dont lock the door while sleeping because it Will always take a very long time before I return and open it. I remember the time I went on a two week holiday at my aunts, the day she came back late in the night, she met her door open and would not have it. I apologized. The next time she didnt come back early, I had to sit outside with her neighbour and when the neighbour retired to her apartment around pass 9. I went in and locked the door...I woke up around 1 am amids heavy bangings on the doors and Windows alas my sisters heard and permitted me to return . As I opened the door, all the tenants in the building were gathered and my aunt has been knocking and calling out to me since around 10pm. It was a scene and a very £mbarrassing one. If not for the neighbour who Sat with me, my aunt was comvinced I was not home.

My mum and grandma has experienced this a couple of times and attributed it to heavy sleep but when my aunt reported this incidence, they were troubled and waited for me to come back. I came home and my grandma asked several questions: the most remarkable was if i dream or see things and I answered in the n£gative though with só mush f£ar.

Somehow, I slept that afternoon and saw "our mother "...

MY OGBANJE CHRONICLES

We were always seven in number! Seven girls running and playing round a giant tree... a cherry tree stationed at a point where three roads met. These roads were sourrounded by a thick forest and we all felt at home. We were between ages 3 and 5 and would always gather to sing, laugh and play in the most cheerful way and disperse at dawn. We were happy together and would always make ourselves the promise of returning the next day...

I can't remember vividly when I became aware of my subconscious personality but I know it was between ages 10 and 12 (if I'm not making mistakes). I had two lives and was fully aware of it. To be with my sisters( as we called ourselves), all I need to do is sleep and Walk down a narrow path which leads to our meeting spot. Same way if we want tô return.

I preferred my subconscious life probably because in real life, I was struggling. I had peace, comfort and trusted friends on that side and nothing bothered me(us). I had love and everything seem easy though it was just the seven of us. I looked forward to nightfall daily só i could be with my friends. I dare not sleep in the afternoon or....

Few days back, I put It out here that Korra Obidi is the most troll£d content creator/streamer and alot of people will not have it.

Korra was invited and paid to perform at a carnival in Atlanta. She attends and performs in a complete "carnival regalias" and facebook has not rested ever since. It's been raining criticisms and trolIs are on her case yet again. Yes, Korra does'nt need to do anything to be trolI£d, all she needs to do is live and do the business that pays her and boom. .. Now I ask, do people go to the carnivals all covered up? I have lived in Brazil and have attended several carnivals, I want tô tell you all for free that what Korra wore is a dressing fit for carnivals. People dress to suíte the occasion and in this regard her dressing has absolutely nothing to do with ind£cency or nuD€ty!

When I was a child, there were alot of families that were regarded as pôor because their major food was "garri". These families até garri morning, afternoon and night. A childhood friend then told me they eat eba In the morning, drank garri on the afternoon and eat eba again at night. That was him trying to explain to me how bad their situation was.

Currenrly, garri is LUXURY! It does'nt matter how you want tô prepare it, once you can affôrd tô buy it, my brother you be "bïg man". A painter of garri currently sells at #3500 and we are all carrying on as if its nothing? Abeg é de bend my hand! A no fit keep quiet again! Wetin sef? Abi na like dis we go dey?

You see this right here, reminds me of my life perfectly. Reminds me of all the strüggIes and päins i went through at every single stage of my life. The many sessions of prayers and fasting.

From the moment I wrote and passed my common entrance through my university level, its been strugglès. I know how much I had/have to pray for my bills to be paid só I could go to secondary even after being posted to a good school. Junior WAEC came and i have to fast for long hours for several weeks só the bílis will be paid too. I also fasted to pass excellently só those who paid would'nt be disappointéd by my pöor performance.

My life was a testament of páins and strüggIes. I was the only one who felt this pâins, people around me could'nt see or feel it, my friends then thought i had it all because I was a brilliant student. I concealed my gri£f perfectly

No one noticed the sadn£ss in me
No one saw the gri£f i had within
The deep Hürt and páins of rèjection

News have have been making round since morning that the ex-wife of Nigerian footballer Kayode ch£ated on him with her pàstor who allegedly is the fathèr of their three kids.

At first, I didnt want tô talk about this as there is no DNÀ results attached to the publications but seeing women criticizè and calI this womán all mànner of nàmes broké my h£art.

Tô every woman making d£meaning posts about this woman, what £vidence do you have? Where is the DNÀ resuIts that shows the kîds are not the footballers? Where is the provè the pàstor actually fàthered the kïds? Why Will somêone make this type of héinious without backing it up with pröofs.

There is nothing in the voice record everyone points at. There is no evidence of ch£ating and there is nothing to show kayode is not the fathèr of the childr£n. I am more concerned about the kïds,they will definitely grow to read this.

Tô be fair to all the parties, a DNÀ test should be conducted. We should learn to ask questions on issuês before making contributions. This whole thing looks staged; Maybe some one put it out to smèar her image and rèputation.

On my way from school run this morning, i saw a man walking with a secondary school girl. This would have meant nothing if not that the little girl (whom I assumed to be between 13 and 15 years) looked rather agitated. I passed by but was somehow disturbed só i moved back and met up with them as they stood probably waiting for keke or mini bus.

Me:excuss me sir , where are you going with this girl? Without waiting for his response, I turned to the girl and asked who the man is to her. As she stutterrd, I cleared and packed well and the man immediated stopped keke and went Off.

I moved closer to the girl and asked what she was doing with the man, she opened her hand and said "he walked by me at the school gate and put this(a White paper) in my hand and told me to Follow him"

I was shocked...só shoked i could'nt move. Then I asked if she can recognise the man and she said no. I explained to her that the man could have been a rituaIist or a r’apist and admonished her to becareful. Stopped a keke and paid só she could be taken back to school.

As they moved, it was exactly 8:17, What this means is that as parents wake up and prepare the kids for school, this peadofile wakes up too and prepares to go get a pr£y . I am putting this out here to clear my head, só many what if's... and what if i did was in a haste and did'nt notíce the movement? My mind is a m€ss right now!

We need to protect our kids by every means possible especially the girl child. The Times Are £vil Indeed!

Just this morning, news broke to me that my "biological" father has pass£d. Sigh! I honestly feel nothing, no päins, no £motions!

This is a man I am supposed to call dad but never got the chance to. I know nothing about him except that he worked at a general hospital in the eastern part of Nigéria. He never car£d or took r£sponsibility from when I was a chiId till this moment. I am not sure He would recognise me even if we sat on the same table.

Here I am this morning thinking how my life would have been if he was a part of it. The quality of education I would have had and the many knowledge and/exposure I would have gotten if he was the father he should have been.

Maybe my life would have been better or maybe not but then the vacuum speaks volume and can never be filled. I feel horribIë right now.
