Chef Cheryl Tate hosted a mental health brunch were we discussed mental health in the communities of color in Los Angeles County. She also demonstrated and shared a tasty/healthy meal for attendees. This woman needs her own show.

December 18, 2022, the Special Needs Network hosted their Care Exchange event in Leimert Park. Families walked out with boxes of food and gifts. Some had to call in for backup to help carry their items. The vendors showed up as well, LA County Promoters Program gave away 120 toys, Isaac Bryans office, Crystal Stairs, WIN, and many other vendors came out to provide resources and gifts for the community. A sunny day in Leimert Park with holiday and oldy tunes filling the festive air. A day of giving for those deserving.

Saturday, December 17, 2022, the Expo Center had its Annual Winter Festival. Toys were distributed to children after they visited the various vendors at the event. Thanks to the Chapter 8 Montford Point Marine Association, the LA County Promoters Program was able to distribute 100 toys to children that came to their booth. KIPP SoCal distributed over 100 toys and prizes to unsuspecting parents and children. Children were able to play in real white snow and slide down the snow ramp. Was a truly enjoyable day in South LA.
