This is a plea on behalf of Archana Sukumar, an IT professional living in Sydney with her husband and two young daughters, aged 12 and 9. Originally from the Payyannur/Nileswaram area in the Kannur/Kasaragod districts, Archana was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) at the beginning of 2023. After undergoing chemotherapy and achieving remission, her leukemia has unfortunately relapsed. She urgently needs a Blood Stem Cell Transplant.
Despite a global search in donor registries, a matching donor has not yet been found. The odds of finding a match range from 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 2 million.
