Finals are here South so let’s finish off the first semester STRONG! 📝🏫📚

Here is the schedule for finals week, with Monday being an all 8 classes day like a normal Monday, and no school on Friday. The second semester starts on Monday, February 3rd with your new semester schedule. YOU GOT THIS SAXONS!!!

Our final spirit week of 2024 is almost here and that means it’s time to Shimmer & Shine ✨🎄☃️🎅🦌🎁

🧦 Monday is Cozy Comforts Day so dress up in your favorite holiday pajamas!
🧣 Tuesday is There’s SNOW Place Like Home so dress up like you are in a a winter wonderland
❤️🤍 Wednesday is Candy Cane Day (grades 9&11 wear white and grades 10&12 wear red! Staff wear red, white, green or all 3)
☃️ Thursday is Ready, Set, Elf Day so dress as your favorite winter character
🎄 Friday is Sweater Weather Is Always Better Together so wear an ugly, festive or funny holiday sweater

Basketball is HERE‼️🏀

The 2024 Red and White Night was a blast with some new additions this year! This Red and White Night we supported the with a toy drive! There was also face painting and a photobooth along with some great games from our boys and girls programs!

We can’t wait for this season to get started!!

WHAT A GAME!!! 🏐🏆📣💥🎊‼️

Don’t mind us we’re just still not over last nights volleyball game! .volleyball beat Sprague last night 3-1 in a crazy game. Energy from both teams and fans kept the atmosphere loud and exciting. South is now sitting at 6th in the state and has a home game on Monday versus North!! GO SOUTH!!

There’s no place like HOMECOMING! 🧙‍♀️👧🏻🦁🌾🪓

Homecoming 2024 is coming fast so here is a timeline of this year’s Wizard of Oz themed homecoming week!

SEPTEMBER 16TH (today!): voting/nominations for homing court are OPEN NOW and will close tomorrow September 17th at 4:00 PM. The way to vote is by the google form sent to your school email from Sam Mendez! 9-10th graders vote for 4, 12th graders vote for 6!
OCTOBER 1ST: Homecoming tickets go on sale! $5 with ASB and $10 without ASB!
OCTOBER 14-18TH: Homecoming spirit week! Themes for each day to be announced soon! Look out for a post on the Clypian with those themes soon!
OCTOBER 18TH: Homecoming football game versus West Salem! Theme: TBA
OCTOBER 19TH: Homecoming dance! 8:00-10:00 PM in the main gym!

Saxon soccer in in FULL SWING! ⚽️🥅🏟️
boys.soccer is 2-1 with wins over Tualatin and La Salle Prep! They have a team with players of all grade levels and are ranked 12th in the state! Their next game is tomorrow at Hidden Valley!

despite having a rocky start and being 0-3 girls soccer is heading into next week with 2 games! League starts October 1st! Go Saxons!

CONGRATS CLASS OF 2024!!!! 🩵❤️🎓🎊

The class of 2024 concluded the 70th graduating class of South Salem High School! We are so proud of all of the Saxons who graduated and we can wait to see what they’ll do in the future now as Saxon Alum!

Spring sports and activities have officially wrapped up and this year was big for South Salem! With 3 first place finishes, a 3rd place, and multiple state appearances saxons showed out this spring! We are so proud of you all and go saxons! ❤️🩵

SAXONS WIN! beats Mountainside 14-4 to move on to the semifinals. Next game is Tuesday at Gilmore Field vs Sunset. COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT ⚾️‼️

We choose to include!

Yesterday and came together to put on a Flag Football game during 2nd period! The Guido was filled with excitement as numerous classes came out to cheer on the athletes, and saxon man was on the sidelines cheering on as well! GO SAXONS!!

Happy Holidays! We have put together a video of staff and students around South stating what they are most excited for during winter break! Hope you enjoy! Have a great 2 week break, we will see you again on January 6, 2020 -Clypian Crew

South kept it close in the first half of their senior night game against league champs Mcnary High School. Unable to slow down the Mcnary offense in the second half, the Saxons lost 15-35.
