The class of 2024 concluded the 70th graduating class of South Salem High School! We are so proud of all of the Saxons who graduated and we can wait to see what they’ll do in the future now as Saxon Alum!

Spring sports and activities have officially wrapped up and this year was big for South Salem! With 3 first place finishes, a 3rd place, and multiple state appearances saxons showed out this spring! We are so proud of you all and go saxons! ❤️🩵

Yesterday and came together to put on a Flag Football game during 2nd period! The Guido was filled with excitement as numerous classes came out to cheer on the athletes, and saxon man was on the sidelines cheering on as well! GO SAXONS!!

ATTENTION SAXONS!!! Tomorrow is most anticipated assembly of the entire school year COLORS WARS/CLASH!!! Each grade has their own color and they try and compete against each other! Remember GO ALL OUT!!! The assembly will take place at the end of the day starting at 2:30-3:20! The schedule is an A day but with NO HOMEROOM!!!

South Salem Boys Volleyball has had a very successful season so far with a record of 7-1! Tomorrow is their final home game where 4 seniors will be honored, Chadd Collatt, Noah Leichty, Josue Ruelas, and Henry Langen-Swartzendruber! They play Newport at 7:00 at home. COME SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!

Basketball Senior Night vs McNary 🏀

honored their x seniors at the beggining of the game: Ethan Lassan, Charlie Rapp, Rylan Davidson, Isaiah Hiser, and Austin Gienger. Congratulations to all of them in the end of the high school basketball career.

In game dominated by the Saxons in offense and defense, South took the win vs McNary with a final score of 67-57.

honored their 2 exchange student: Alejandra Marin (Spain) and Elena Rakotonirina (France). And their 2 seniors Maggie Lapray, who will continue to play basketballl at Westcliff University, and Carley Petersen. Carley suffered of various injuries this season but recovered to be able to play during her senior night!

The Lady Saxons battled McNary and were down by 13 at halftime. Slowly but steadily they upped their defense and got a more aggressive offense that led them to the victory by the end of the game! Brook Tate had the most points with 12 and a 2 back-to-back 3s!

also honored their 3 seniors in the last home game they will cheer on! Sophia Leavell, Chloe Polzine and Raigan Datwyler. Catch them again at the first Playoffs game for Girls Basketball! Check OSAA through today for latest bracket information.

The student section also showed up for the last game of the season with some creative ideas, like a mock-ESPN table. Seeing the Saxons get more creative time after time and show student leadership never gets old!

Prince Named New Choir Director - South Salem High School

Riverside-Brookfield High School music teacher Aubrey Prince is leaving to take a job at a high school in Oregon. Prince, who has directed the choirs at the high school for the past five years, submitted her resignation letter last week.
