The tenor saxophone is often associated with Jazz, with its smoky sultry lower register sound and bright edgy upper notes it’s a perfect choice. However, used in a more classical or folk setting the beautiful mellow tone is almost cello-like as you’ll hear in our recent sheet music collection Over the Land and to the Sea (6 pieces for tenor saxophone and piano for grades 3-6).
