Six arrests made in connection to killing of South African footballer Fleurs
Six people have been arrested in relation to the killing of South African footballer Luke Fleurs. The 24-year-old Kaizer Chiefs defender was shot during an alleged hijacking incident in Johannesburg on April 3. Police say six suspects were traced and arrested in Soweto, a township south west of Johannesburg, on Wednesday morning. The search for more suspects is ongoing. Police believe the suspects are “part of a syndicate that is responsible for car hijacking in Gauteng”. The suspects are expected to appear at Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Friday April 12 2024.
