📷: The first ever recorded albino Galapagos tortoise makes its public debut at a Swiss zoo following its hatching last month in Servion, Switzerland, June 3, 2022.

👉Two of the tortoises were hatched last month at the Tropiquarium in the western town of Servion as part of a program to preserve the endangered species.

One is black like its parents and the other is albino. Their gender has yet to be determined.

The mother, who weighs more than 100 kilograms, laid five eggs on February 11, and the albino baby hatched on May 1. The other baby hatched on May 5, after the eggs spent two-and-a-half months in an incubator.

The male weighs around 180 kilograms. The pair are about 30 years old and have just reached sexual maturity.

The success rate of mating is around 2%-3% for this species. Baby turtles weigh about 50 grams at birth and fit in the palm of the hand. (REUTERS)

Abraj Kudai is a hotel currently under construction in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.It was projected to open in 2017, but a financial problem in 2015 halted construction and pushed out its completion to 2019 or 2020.When completed, it will be the largest hotel in the world, consisting of a ring of 12 towers 45 stories high, with 10,000 bedrooms, 70 restaurants, and four rooftop helipads. There will also be five floors for the sole use of the Saudi royal family. According to Arabian Business, 10 of the towers will provide four-star accommodations, while the other two towers will be reserved for special clientele offering five-star amenities...
