Srinagar Police organises Drug de-addiction camp

Srinagar 27 March 2024: In an ongoing effort to combat the growing issue of drug abuse among the youth, Police in police zone Hazratbal Srinagar organised a drug de-addiction awareness programme.
The enlightening awareness programme for youth especially students, citizens, was
organised by District Police Srinagar,Zone Hazratbal at Govt Women's Degree College Batpora .
Distinguished members of the Police inclded SP Hazratbal, Hilal Khaliq Bhat,JKPS ,SDPO Zakoora Ashiq Hussain , Javaid Khan SHO PS Nigeen spoke on the occassion. SP Hazratbal Hilal khaliq gave a very encouraging speech based upon his expertise and he gave valuable insights on various facets of drug addiction.
SHO Javid Khan while leading a very fruitful engaging secession with the youth he provided essential knowledge to recognize the symptoms of drug abuse and offering guidance on appropriate initial responses.
To boost the morale of the youth, students from Women's Degree College Batpora . Cultural programmes,skits,dramas were also performed by the students.
Cash prizes of Rs 5000 for the 1st position,3000 for the 2nd position ,2000 for the 3rd position were given to the students. Moreover ,Rs 3000 to 1st position ,Rs.2000 to the 2nd position of the cultural programme performers,momentoes/ certificates to the participants jurry members and consolation prizes were also distributed in the event.
