We invited the Berlin-based flinta collective to perform their rich mix of Neue Neue Deutsche Welle, Hyperpop and ethereal Techno for the first time on a Hamburg stage.

Meet us at Turmzimmer on 07.09. to let the power of these five highly creative and talented fe*mal artists take you to another musical dimension.

Besides (co-)producing their own music, the collective also understands the world of visual art. This enhances the exciting experience of their concerts.

We are excited to announce that every member of the NEMESIS collective will perform live.

„Records Without Conception“ by toğrul will be released digitally and on vinyl on the 3rd of June!

The project shows toğrul's process of finding his sound. The album is not based on a concept, a statement or an overriding mood. The tracks are rather to be understood as portraits from protracted explorations of basic patterns in electronic genres and modular sound synthesis. The results are a not self- contained body of work, but rather discussions of various demands on sound and music that were experienced by the artist himself between the years 2018 and 2021. With his debut album, the German and Azerbaijan based producer wants to capture the process of this artistic searching and finding.

Surreal constructions of contrasting sounds evolve between the grids of genres. An experimental style and contemporary references across Contemporary RnB, Electro, Glitch and IDM form a sound logic of its own, which is additionally grounded by the singers Alice Dlugosch & Mariama Ceesay in two independent tracks.

toğrul is not only a founding member of the vibrational network, he is also the very first artist to release an album via vn records.

toğrul's musical spectrum stems from a classical music education, his cultural background and his involvement with various contemporary genres. But since his first encounter with electronic sound production, the Azerbaijani and German producer has fallen into a rabbit hole of musical possibilities and timbres.
Since then, he is arranging influences from different contemporary but also timeless musical currents to create his own sound image, which lives apart from genre classifications.

The technical approach of tearing each of the sounds out of its context (and then re-evaluating it) leads the artist to a music that is far from listening habits. And yet the result is oriented towards simplicity, so that it never gets too complicated in its reception.

Meanwhile, toğrul prefers to work in the modular environment, especially with west coast synthesis that come close to his idea of interacting organic sound design.

In our previous work as an event host and digital platform we met lots of talented artists in the musical and visual fields.

For this reason, we have been planning to expand our cultural work into operating as a music label since last year. In addition to our continuing work as event hosts, we now want to publish and represent our amazing network as a music label and promote the artistic space in which we find ourselves.

We don't want to pre-define the way to get there. Rather, we want to invite you today to help shape this process of creation. Let's see where this experiment leads us. We are looking for exciting, diverse artists in various fields who can identify with this project. So if you can imagine releasing on the vibrational network or want to help in some other way with the realisation of future label projects, please get in touch with us!

On June 3rd, the first record (VN001) will be released on vinyl. We are looking forward to it and everything that is still to come.

vibrations weekly is our weekly format that provides a platform for musicians and sound artists to share their sonic ideas in about an hour of airtime.

In cooperation with [sic]nal]] we want to create a free space for genre-independent experimentation from a broad range of underground artists. After the first broadcast of the contributions on [sic]nal]] radio the mixes appear on our own channels (LINK IN BIO).

(14:00 Uhr) SLIC Gathering a BIPoC Hangout hosted by @slic_unit "Im Rahmen des Hamburger Kultursommer im Künstlerhaus Faktor presented by Vibrational Network wollen wir, Slic Unit, als Kollektiv den Raum nutzen, um nach den vielen Monaten der Isolation endlich wieder Menschen insbesondere FLINTA* Personen zusammen zu bringen. Nachdem unser Kollektiv, aus dem Verlangen entstanden ist sich zu vernetzen und Synergien mit anderen DJs zu schaffen, die eine ähnliche Lebensrealität (als in Deutschland lebende Menschen of colour) haben, würden wir den Rahmen des Kultursommers nutzen, um dies in einem größeren Kreis zu ermöglichen. Es geht uns darum eine Gelegenheit zu schaffen, in der WIR uns kennenlernen, austauschen, um Rat fragen oder einfach nur zusammen lachen und Musik hören können. Da wir als BIPoC in der Kreativwirtschaft/ Branche oftmals unterrepräsentiert sind, werden wir für diesen ersten Hangout gerne den Fokus auf Menschen aus diesem Bereich setzen. Deshalb laden wir euch am Samstag den 31.7 von 14-16 Uhr, ins Künstlerhaus Faktor ein. Kinder sind selbstverständlich willkommen und wir ermutigen Eltern aus den oben genannten Communities und Branchen dazu, auch mit Kind oder Kindern an dem Hangout teilzunehmen.
