This bent 3” pipe extends about 3’ from the ground and is both imbedded in and filled with concrete. I am perplexed as to why I have failed to straighten it back to plumb with my bare hands. Guess I’ll go back to the 1st draft of my next novel

My reading is in 2 days. I spent all this time crafting a book display, but I just realized I don't have anything hold my pages. As I hurried back out to my shop to sort through my scrap metal, a little voice stopped me and said "Sometimes, you can just *buy* a music stand."

As a writer, I take a valuable lesson from my welder, when it overheats, shuts itself off and basically says, “you’re done welding for today.”
I’m in my shop creating a book display, because when you’re doing a signing/reading at a design gallery, you’ve gotta look the part.
