New post on reddit by PrimoViking: I am disappointed... Unless Sony has something up their sleeves I am deeply disappointed in what they are delivering with the PS5. No VRR, no dedicated AI upscaling hardware, no ALLM, no Mesh Shaders, no fully-featured Ray Tracing, no native 1440p for PC monitors, no Dolby Vision, no HDMI 2.1 8K support at the moment, a small SSD, clumsy archiving solutions, and sub-par number of CUs in their GPU. Instead, they invested time and money in their custom solution of non-sustainable high clock speeds. Why didn't they just use the full RDNA 2 architecture with all its features? The DualSense, the exclusive games, and their custom Tempest audio chip better be really good, or otherwise, I will leave the Playstation ecosystem for good. Apart from that, I think the PS5 is a bit ugly. I am so sad, I cannot express how much I wanted this to be like PS4 vs Xbox One in 2013... All I read on forums nowadays is praise by PS fans and I cannot understand why the vast majority isn't seeing this as a huge disappointment. Please convince me that the PS5 is amazing. I have pre-ordered and my joyful expectation is fading every day I read something new about the lacklustre hardware solutions. I still hope that they might surprise us with sustainable clock speeds of over 2.2GHz or N7+ process capabilities of their GPU...
