Sa bawat talinhaga at tula, isinasalaysay natin ang kasaysayan ng ating lahi—matatag, malaya, at puno ng pag-asa. Sa bawat pagbigkas, isinusulong natin ang kalayaan at dignidad ng ating bayan. Sama-sama nating habihin ang tela ng ating pagkakaisa, punuin ng kulay at sigla ang ating bansa. Halina't bigkasin ang bawat salita nang may pagmamalaki at damhin ang pagyakap sa wika. Magsalita, makinig, at ipaglaban ang Wikang Mapagpalaya. Mabuhay ang wikang Filipino, ang tunay na tagapaghatid ng ating pagkakakilanlan at pag-asa.

BNHS-SHS successfully held its 7th Recognition Day last May 31, 2024. This momentous event serves as a reward for all the sacrifices that have been made by the students as well as the teachers and proud parents, from preparing everything down to the last part of the event.

The recognition acknowledged the students hardwork and vigorous efforts on their academics. From restless nights to wearing medals, these awards did not just validate excellence, but also the perseverance and inquisitiveness that fuels the students to learn, as well as the continuous support of their parents through their academic journey.

Bayawan National High School-Senior High School students successfully cast their votes for the next batch of Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) Officers for S.Y 2024-2025 on May 10-11, 2024, at BNHS-SHS.

With the guidance and supervision of the poll watchers, the tallying of votes concluded on the same day of the election with just and equitable results. Mrs. Eunice B. Garcia, the current SSLG Adviser of BNHS-SHS, then declared the newly elected SSLG officials for the S.Y. 2024–2025.

The newly elected SSLG Officers are; Jhon Mark Millondaga (President) from ASTIG party securing 397 votes, Gian Thomas Riconalla (Vice President) from PULSE party seizing 450 votes, Marianne Antoinette Bandoquillo (Secretary) casting 470 votes, Justin Delos Santos (Treasurer) with 432 votes, Kristel Ann Mayang (Auditor) 370 votes, Ann Danielle Guillen (Public Information Officer) with 455 votes, Precious Melanie Belsondra (Protocol Officer) with a total of 466 votes.

Elected representatives from each department were Ashley Kate Rosalia (ABM) clenching 83 votes, A***n Jell Melendres (STEM) with 86 votes, Ashleah Garciano (HUMSS) securing 157 votes, Beamae Nilona Solomon (GAS) with 125 votes and Honey Jane Esoy (TVL) with a total tally of 51 votes.

“With the new set of SSLG Officers, I look forward to the realization of their promised platforms so when they run for the position they had their vision for the students, I hope now that they are already in the position they will be able to deliver it all for the good of the students.” Said Mrs. Garcia.

“I am very excited because I have seen how they fought for this position and how determined they were. I just hope that they will be true to their word and that they will be honest to their service to the students. So they will also learn how to balance their academics with their responsibilities as leaders of our school,” she added.

The next batch of young, passionate and dedicated leaders, are about to start a new era of a productive term in serving the student body with commitment and accountability. The students and teachers of BNHS-SHS look forward to a positive and promising leadership and service that the newly elected officers will soon provide.

The school campaign for Supreme Student Learners Government (SSLG) election of Bayawan National High School-Senior High School officially kicked off on May 3-9, 2024 with its three partylist featuring PULSE, ASTIG, and SIKLAB that aimed to lead with pride and honor through their voices and platforms making their way through as students cast their votes on May 10, Thursday, 2024.

The three partylist roamed around the campus during the campaign period, trying to prove that they are worthy to lead and serve, then presented their platforms and vision for the school's future prowess, delivering speeches, distributing flyers and enthusiastically captivated the student body with their lively campaigns to certainly marked their values and aspirations in the hearts of their co-students.

"For the new set of SSLG officers, always be transparent to the students,make them feel your presence. Remember, being a student leader is not intended for clout chasing,you are serving your fellow students and you have to live up to their expectations." said Francis Joule Aberia Trigue, the SSLG President.

As the campaign period and election era came to end, the election was opened where the decision was on the students hand to exercise their rights to choose the best leaders who can lead and serve with dedication and empathy. Through their freedom to choose, their future in the alma mater lies and reflects who they voted for.

They say, life is like a blank canvas, and the outcome relies on your own hands. When you take a glance at the world, you are able to take a glimpse of how artistic life is, consisting not just one color but a whole range of acrylics. Therefore, life itself is an art, by having all the colors in the spectrum on your palette. Just as this one teacher whose life revolves around teaching and creating eye-opening crafts.

Mr. Harold T. Gerian, a Contemporary Art Teacher of Bayawan National High School - Senior High School (BNHS-SHS), and a self-taught artist who began his journey on a wide landscape of art at the age of 17. The need to earn money in order to hurdle college life made him discover his hidden potential. Hence, working with art related jobs and joining art competitions have been a process of honing his expertise.

Beyond the unforeseen fortunes, it took him a long while to be called a full-fledged artist. Behind every drop of sweat and sacrifice, the flaming courage fueled by determination urged him to be optimistic, regardless of those who belittled his capability.

Despite life's uncertainties, his experience made him more equipped. From painting, sculpture, print making, calligraphy and sign arts, digital arts and installation arts, both in the modern and contemporary genre, Mr. Gerian triumphed as he won several art related competitions as an artist of various cultural and non-cultural production.

Overall, this testifies how colorful our canvas can be, as he finally realized the purpose of his existence, that has been his lifelong achievement, and will forever be the masterpiece he will carry for a lifetime. That is "To create Art while creating Artists".

In honor of World Art Day, we celebrate the vibrant existence of art in all forms, including those who create the artwork with great passion and expression.

ManTALA, the School Paper Organization of Bayawan National High School – Senior High School (BNHS-SHS) took part as they displayed their journalism expertise at the recently concluded Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) with the theme "Galing, Talino at Husay ng mga Batang Makabansa sa Diwa ng MATATAG na Adhika", on April 9–12 at Talisay City, Cebu.

The event aimed to foster the excellence of student journalists, providing them the opportunities to show their capabilities in the field of journalism. Participated with over 4000 campus journalists from various Schools Division Offices in Region VII. Together with the School Paper Advisers, Coaches and the Schools Division Superintendents, the program was formally opened by Dr. Salustiano T. Jimenez, DepEd Region VII Director.

ManTALA, along with other participants, did not only showcased the skills and potentials, but also displayed growth and progression as aspiring journalists during the event.

Every year, the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) draws thousands of students from across the region, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. This prestigious event isn't just a gathering; it's an immersive journey into the world of campus journalism—a journey worth cherishing and remembering.

At RSPC, student journalists embark on a voyage of self-discovery, showcasing their talents in writing with clarity, capturing captivating photos, and delivering powerful transmissions. Beyond the acquisition of skills, RSPC fosters camaraderie and teamwork among participants.

Students representing various schools converge, fostering a sense of unity and collective growth. RSPC serves as a platform where aspiring journalists not only refine their craft but also mature as individuals. The event's theme, "Galing, Talino at Husay ng mga Batang Makabansa sa Diwa ng MATATAG na Adhika," encapsulates the essence of campus journalism—exemplifying students' unwavering dedication to serving their communities and freely expressing their thoughts, feelings, and ideas.

Engaging in campus journalism transcends skill enhancement; it molds character. Through this competition, enduring friendships are forged, and indelible memories are created—solidifying RSPC's significance as a transformative experience.

We mostly capture the essence and values of life, same as how three ManTALA Photojournalists capture their conferred masterpiece. A true exhibition of talent and skills, proven by them, as they rejoice as awardees during the Tawo-tawo Photography Competition on February 29, 2024, showcasing their captivating narratives through their lens.

The cessation of Metro Bayawan Investment Promotion Office Trade Fair Exhibit, merits each participants' photos in different categories at Puregold Mall Bayawan City.

Honoring the efforts of the STEM Students from Bayawan National High School - Senior High School (BNHS-SHS), namely Jecho N. Cimafranca, Bayawan City at Night Category 2nd placer, Dexien John M. Paloma, Bayawan City Sports Category 5th placer and Leigh Kester Belnas, Bayawan's Agricultural Best Practices Category 4th placer.

Just as a novel that consists of many chapters, photography is like a visual way of telling stories. It is indeed a creative way to evocate life. Each photo will resonate and preserve a specific time in our lives.

Research Congress: The spirit of intellect and grit

A true exhibition of excellence and intelligence manifested, as sharp-witted STEM students, Zayed A. Mohamed and Honey Joy E. Padilla from Bayawan National High School - Senior High School (BNHS-SHS), brought home the title as champion during the Foundation University first Inter-Senior High School Research Congress, at Foundation University, Dumaguete City on February 16, 2024.

Carrying with them is their unique Research title "Typhoon Intensity Forecasting" SSTA- Driven Simulation and Evaluation of 5 Significant Typhoons with Fortran-based FV3-GEFS Model. Apart from garnering 1st place, they were declared as Best Presenter and Best Research Paper.

At long last, after countless attempts, BNHS-SHS finally grasped the title, and proved that Nationalians are still in the catalogue of excellent schools filled with brilliant minds. Their dedication and hard work have been worthwhile as they brought prestige to our beloved BNHS-SHS.

Zayed A. Mohamed, BNHS-SHS Grade 12 STEM, stated in an interview that they defended the research to the best of their abilities. According to him, NOHS's presentation was pretty good as well, therefore his expectation is to win 2nd place. But in total disbelief, the unexpected happened, it was announced that they were the champion.

“We always end up as second place so this is the first time that we actually have beaten other schools. It’s a product of one of the brilliant minds in senior high school which is Mohamed, and the research that he made, is really a high level type of research." said Engr. Agie A. Galvez, STEM Department Head-OIC.

"I'm hoping that grade 11 would surpass what Mohamed and Padilla has bring to BNHS-SHS." Engr. Galvez added.

In preparation for the upcoming commencement exercise, the City Cooperative Manpower Development Office (CCMDO), in partnership with the Guidance Office of Bayawan National High School - Senior High School (BNHS-SHS), conducts a Career Guidance and Coaching Session exclusive for Grade 10 and Grade 12 Learners on February 29, 2024 at Bayawan National High School - Junior High School Gymnasium.

It is headed by the School Lead Principal, Mrs. Juliet T. Alanano, and the School Guidance Services led by Mrs. Lilibeth Lendio, along with the active participation of the HUMSS, STEM and GAS students.

This orientation aims to guide and help specifically graduating students, in their decision making for their future career paths. This includes discussions about the factors that affect the students' career choice, labor market information and assessing one's self by answering a RIASEC TEST or self-assessment test.

Mr. Christian Carbelle V. Carbo, Administrative Aide VI- CCMDO, stated in an interview that according to studies, numerous students faced course mismatch and led them to lose major opportunities. In order to combat this, the orientation seeks to direct students on their career path.

Nagmistulang mga bituin ang mga Nationalians sa matagumpay na Seniors Ball ng Bayawan National High School - SHS na may temang "Glitz and Glamour Under a Starry Night" sa bulwagan ng JHS, ika-22 ng Pebrero, 2024.

"The theme Glitz and Glamour Under a Starry Night, not only sets the stage for a night of omniscience splendor but also symbolizes the journey of our seniors have embarked upon, this occasional profound significants in the lives of our students, it marks the culmination of years of hardwork, dedication and perseverance." , saad ni Gng. Juliet G. Alinano, pumapangulong punong-guro ng paaralan sa kanyang pambungad na mensahe.

Hangad ng gawain na magbigay parangal at magpahalaga sa matagumpay na akademikong paglalakbay ng mga mag-aaral. Kitang-kita ang masayang pagdiwang, pagsama, at paglikha ng mga alaala ng mga mag-aaral bago sila tutungo sa bagong yugto ng buhay.

Nagbigay ng class prophecy ang bawat strand na naging daan upang magkaroon ng masusing pananaw ang bawat isa sa kanilang hinaharap at maipahayag ang kanilang mga adhikain na maging inspirasyon sa isa't-isa.

Tinanghal sina G. Maersk Denver Engreso at Bb. Prayans Jewel V. Jumao-as bilang Seniors' Ball King at Queen samantalang naging Star of the Night naman si Bb. Jelian Lubrico Gerian.

Ang okasyong ito ay isang paalala na anumang hamon ang haharapin ay patuloy na kikinang ang bawat Senior ng Bayawan National High School.
