One legend building up another.
Thursday’s episode features the only TBT General Manager bold enough to ask Carmelo Anthony if he wants to join his squad, @kevinbelbey
We get into how the same attitude that had him pushing through bloody noses to defend Syracuse basketball post players was a part of his success after college.
Success that includes helping represent talented folks like recurring HTFDYGTJ? guest, @maxbrowne

You want to see a crazy title? Head of Sports at Instagram.
You want to hear how Dev Sethi got that title? One reason is he drops awesome insights like this ⬆️
Check out the episode we put up over the weekend to hear Dev’s full story.
Jed Collins left Washington State University with an accounting degree in 2007. Unlike most of his business school classmates, Jed took that degree to go play fullback seven years in the NFL.
After he spent some time as a financial planner, he realized that he wanted to do more to help folks like him, and not just the top 1 percent.
Today, Jed is the Director of Financial Education program Rookie to Veteran, Brighton Jones and the author of the book, Your Money Vehicle.
So what did Jed learn from his multiple position changes throughout his football career? And what was Mark Sanchez like in high school?
First regular episode back. Sko 🔳
Episode 17 guest, @billweircnn was out amplifying brilliant voices like Jon Baptiste’s all weekend at New York City protests.
Thought about not putting out an episode today. But then we realized it’s a day we’re alive on earth and we love you all too much not to.
Today we got to talk to Max Browne (@maxbrowne) talking about his underrated high school receivers and how he started running Lewis Howes’ (@lewishowes) social media team.
This dude’s media knowledge and self awareness are unreal. Absolutely worth a listen despite the whole Jake and Jaffin part.
Bill Weir’s (@billweircnn) intro from his high school friend and Jake’s Dad, @millerboat ⬇️
“Freshman year. Victory Christian varsity baseball. I met Bill in the outfield as we were assigned to shag balls during batting practice. We started talking about old tv shows like Wild Kingdom and how it was always hilarious that Marlin Perkins’ (the show’s elderly host) partner Jim always got the crap jobs. “My partner Jim will hang suspended from the helicopter as he times his drop on to the hard charging rhinoceros, wrestle it to the ground, skillfully administer a tranquilizing suppository, and attach the enormous rhino tracking collar. I will then rush in, tag the beast and turn on the tracking beacon.”
We said in our yearbooks that we would both be writing for SNL one day. Today, I’m a Golf Professional and Bill is detailing the sobering facts of climate change on CNN… so close. Bill is the kindest, funniest, most talented and driven human being I know. None of his success has ever surprised me – he’s always been that good. Could not love him more and could not be more proud of him. I know you’ll love him too.”
Shea Dawson (@overtimeshea) created her own job description in a sort of mini manifesto, and Overtime was all about it.
That’s the type of person she is: a creator. She creates opportunities for herself and others. She creates environments for people to succeed.
We came away from this conversation feeling more hopeful, and we’re thinking that’s probably not rare when it comes to talking with Shea. So, yeah, she also creates hope (even fresh off of Pete Carroll refusing to be on the podcast).

Nicholas Stone (@nicholas_j_stone) is the founder and CEO of Bluestone Lane (@bluestonelane).
He started the company while running a branch of an international financial institution. How do you balance that? He gets into it a little bit in the video ☝️
This guy has been a professional athlete, pitched the C-Suite at Apple, and had Cameron Diaz waiting in line in the snow for a half hour for his coffee.
Even if you justifiably can't stand the way we fumble over each other to get questions out, you'll love this episode, because Nicholas is that interesting and that bright.
Plus he's got an unreal accent.
Those are enough reasons. Give his episode a listen.
AJ @ajv is somebody we genuinely look up to. He’s got incredible drive, insight, and work-life balance.
You learn something from him any time you get to spend more than 30 seconds talking to him.
His episode is out on all platforms today. Give it a listen. Despite us getting in the way, he does a great job telling his own story and giving his take on where he sees the sports agency industry heading.
The most successful dude in any of our phones (not saying much, but still), AJ Vaynerchuk.
Before Overtime Tom was @overtimetom he was a kid looking to get into sports through coaching.
Then his mom insisted he get a summer internship, so Tom skipped ahead to the 50th page of Google (knowing that the places on the first 49 pages probably wouldn’t hire him), and found a life changing posting.
Well, it wasn’t initially life-changing. Day to day he was just running around New York City filming things like impromptu city park dunk contests, but that company and those relationships eventually became Overtime.
Tom broke down how the company became the standard for getting highlights out efficiently, and how the athlete relationships they built in doing so have now allowed them to create their own original content.
Overtime is now a network that’s getting one billion impressions per month, and Tom has been there since the beginning. We’re stoked he came by to share some of his stories from his journey.
One last important thing for anyone who listens: S/O @overtimesteve
