Those absolute mad lads at Hasbro actually made them compatible! Well, sort of. The gloves are a perfect fit, is my point. The chest piece is obviously completely the wrong size, but you can balance it on there if you're careful, and of course you need an OG Dragonzord chest piece to complete the ensemble. I honestly didn't expect this to even be remotely possible though - if this was done deliberately by Hasbro (if it wasn't, the gloves are a staggering coincidence), it was very well played on their part. All we need now is some enterprising soul with a 3D printer to make some custom chest pieces - any takers?

Of course, since I had it down I had to have a little play with Titanus and the ZAP Megazord as well. It's too bad they're not compatible...

Of course, the true metric of a Dragonzord is, how well does it do the Fonzie pose? For me the '93 zord still takes the W here - what do you think? AYYYYYYY!

I swear, I will finish this project at some point! For this week I wanted to show off my Black & Gold Thunder Megazord, complete with newly painted staff weapon. I still need to repaint the Dragon Thunderzord, but I'm a little scared to start given how fiddly that's going to be! I'm looking into the possibility of dying the plastic rather than repainting it - if that works, it'll give a much better end result.

A bit of a proof of concept here today. I wanted to try using my chrome markers to bling up my Ninja Megazord, and since I had a spare wolf zord lying around I thought I'd try it on this one first. It's harder than I thought to get a smooth finish with these markers, but it's not impossible. The photos don't fully do justice to how it looks in person, but I'm quite happy with how it came out :)

This mode though, this one's impressive. Every version of this toy released since the 90s has had the same problem - the Dragonzord is so heavy the knees struggle to hold the whole thing upright. While this can be posed to mitigate the problem anyway (as in the picture), the knees are robust enough that it doesn't slouch over under its own weight. Well played, Hasbro.

This is my favourite formation. I wish they'd given the Dragonzord a bit more articulation in the legs, but I can't fault how this looks!

These two do look good together. The posability of the Dragonzord is severely hampered though, by the lack of articulation in the ankle joints. The weirdest thing is they seem to be on proper ball and sockets, but there's no range of motion in them at all. That might be my one complaint about this figure - otherwise it looks great!

And, project! It didn't actually take all that long once i got down to it - as ever, the bulk of the effort was convincing my brain to Do The Thing! I've also uploaded a picture showing how I posed the ships (including why the planet had to be red in the end!) I hope you enjoy :)

And here it is! I've wanted one of these since the ZAP Megazord was announced, and it's SO PRETTY! It comes with some neat rocket hand accessories as well :)

There's obviously something about this Big Project (it's really not) that my brain doesn't like, because I keep finding excuses to procrastinate. Today's was drawing show-accurate cockpit details onto my Time Force Megazord. I'm probably going to take it apart and repaint it completely at some point, but this'll do for now!

I've been working on (read: thinking about) a relatively simple project involving these for days now. The biggest problem has been motivation, though I did succeed today in taking these models down, morphing them back into their spaceship modes, and giving them a thorough dusting. And then I spent some time admiring them - these remain the project I'm proudest of :)

For I'm throwing it back, kinda. This is the first DX Megazord I ever owned, and I realised looking back that it's been three years to the day since it landed on my doorstep! I bought it for myself during lockdown, when I was bingeing a bunch of old TV shows I'd enjoyed as a kid as a form of escapism. Then I remembered I had grownup money and no supervision, so for my birthday I treated myself to a bit of childhood wish fulfilment! Then I went hunting on ebay for the MMPR Megazord from the nineties, and it all kinda snowballed from there!

Anyway, this was back before I was taking photos of everything and posting them on here, so I never did a proper photo series for this one, so here we go!
