Monday 4th July Genre-defying trio ARCHIPELAGO are coming to the Folklore Rooms in Brighton

‘Very original, evocative, and at times haunting’ - Kevin Le Gendre, BBC Radio 3

Fronted by saxophonist, clarinetist, singer and composer Faye MacCalman and completed by John Pope (Bass) and Christian Alderson (Drums); their sound is a dreamlike collision of otherworldly atmospheres, heartfelt song-writing and energetic off-kilter rhythms. Moving between instruments and effects to create the illusion of a much larger ensemble, before peeling back to their raw, improvisational trio form, Archipelago’s uncompromising refusal to fit in one genre makes for a fully-charged musical experience…

WOW! What a night on Saturday, some fantastic music and a lovely warm audience!

Huge thanks to everyone that took part; Al Strachan and the Wildcard Trio, Martin Pyne/Davie Beebee, Yellow Door, Matt Clark Music/Charlotte Keeffe (and thanks Martin for standing in!)
