Valentines Sensory Play 💘

This bin was set up with a lot of items I already had leftover in my house - different glitters and sequins from other craft projects, silicone cupcake holders I had from last year, a silicone popsicle tube from summer time, and rice I already had in the house.

Children can use this to:
🩷 Explore textures
🩷 Count
🩷 Sort by size, color, or shape.
🩷 Pretend play: bakery, etc.

So many possibilities but proof not every bin you set up needs a trip to the store or excessive spending or planning. You can use and repurpose so many items in your own home!

Choco Hazel Rolls - A new fave after school snack. 😋

✨ Spoon 1 tsp. Choco Hazel spread onto wide end of crescent roll dough, roll and place on cookie sheet.
✨ Bake 375 for 13 minutes
✨ Sprinkle with powdered sugar (optional but highly recommended!)
✨ Best when enjoyed warm!

SNOW much sensory fun! ❄️ ☃️

Mix 1 cup baking soda with 1 cup shaving cream to make the base for this snowy day sensory bin. All the kids had a blast scooping and shaping this snow.

All fillers from Dollar Tree. Such an easy and inexpensive set up with so many opportunities for pretend play!

This crossbody bag from is a must have for days in the city. Small but so many compartments and pockets. I was able to carry around everything I needed without needing to lug around a bulky bag all day.

Anyone else make clothespin reindeer when they were younger too?! I feel like this craft has been around forever but it’s always a good one to do with kids. I loved being able to do this with my kids this year! They had so much fun painting and loved that we turned them into ornaments for our tree.

This is the perfect craft to pair with “Don’t Tickle The Reindeer” - such a fun and interactive book, perfect to keep little ones engaged and entertained.

I did this last year for the first time with the Pilsbury holiday sugar cookies and I will literally never eat them any other way ever again. So easy to step up a ready to bake cookie and have a festive treat! 🎄 🍪

I paired the holiday sugar cookies with ready made chocolate chip cookie dough and baked at 350 degrees for 15 minutes and they came out delicious!

A perfect keepsake to remember when your little ones were small. This is a great craft for teachers to do, to make for family, or just make and keep for yourself to remember when they were small.

✨ Tip to create the ornament: cover the canvas in contact paper or dollar tree shelf liner with a circular hole cut where you want the ornament to be.

Do you want to FILL a snowman? ⛄️

A fun, winter fine motor activity, with all supplies found at so very budget friendly and quick to put together!

- Put a snowman face on clear, plastic containers of your choice (These are wine carafes). I used marker for the eyes and mouth, vinyl for the hat and construction paper for the nose.
- Have children use tongs, spoons or “pinching fingers” to pick up the cotton balls to fill up the snowmen.

✨ Bonus idea: Turn this into a game by adding dice. Take turns rolling the dice to put that amount of cotton balls into your container. First to get x number of cotton balls wins!

We are so excited for our advent book calendar that has been added to the book shelf this year. Every night the twins get to pick a new surprise book to read together. This has quickly become a new fun tradition to end our busy days during the holidays.

Can’t forget our favorites though, like Nibbles and Polar Express.

Items Needed:
-Glazed Doughnut
-Chocolate Munchkin
-Decorating Gel Icing
-Sprinkle Eyes (Found at Michael’s)
-Candy Corn

So easy to put together that even your kids can help! The twins had a blast decorating their own turkeys for dessert.

Fluffy Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip 🎃

Quick, easy and Greyson & Emma-approved, this dip is perfect for a Thanksgiving dessert or Friendsgiving treat! This dip has a delicious fall flavor that’s not too sweet.

You need:
🧡 16 oz. Cream Cheese
🧡 15 oz. Canned Pumpkin
🧡 1 tbsp. Vanilla
🧡 2 tbsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
🧡 1 small container of Cool Whip

Simply blend all the above ingredients well (Add Cool Whip last for best results) & serve with graham crackers (or dipping item of your choice). Enjoy!

Super quick + easy festive treat that’s great for parties, snack, or a Halloween dessert. 👻

You need:
-Chocolate pudding cups
-Oreo cookies (We used the Halloween Trader Joe’s version)
-Graham crackers
-Ghost Peeps
-Food coloring marker

Layer crushed Oreos on top of pudding. Use food coloring markers to write on a piece of graham cracker to create a tombstone. Place graham cracker and Peep on top of pudding cup for a SPOOKtacular & delicious graveyard scene.

Snowy Day ❄️ January Sensory Play I’ve teamed up with some mamas to bring you some fun and educational sensory play activity ideas for January! Another year, and we haven’t gotten any snow yet on Long Island, but my kids are obsessed, so I tried to bring them some snow fun indoors. Using coconut flakes and marshmallows as the base, my kids can play in this taste safe snow! They can use their imagination with all the pretend play, but also are able to practice counting, sorting, stacking, and more with all the different items in the bin. The best part - everything included (with the exception of the penguin who is from a target sensory kit) is from dollar tree, so this is a super affordable bin to put together!
