When I’m Europe, have some wine🥂
I travelled to the Oller de Mas Winery in Spain. What I found amazing about this trip was Spain’s strict laws about wine production. Everything is organic and the same wine from a different year may taste quite different because of the laws surrounding chemicals. Maybe Canada should take some notes 😜
We sampled 3 wines that was included in our tour and purchased a sample of their limited edition orange wine😍 plus munched on some tapas💁🏼‍♀️
This was an amazing tour experience put together by wine tours and our tour guide Edu was super fun and knowledgeable. If you’re in Barcelona you need to try this tour🥂

This photo was taken at Monsarat Monastery in Barcelona. Everything about this area was gorgeous and it is a must see if you are in the area.

O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
Come along with me and my adventure in Verona, Italy, the stage for the classic Romeo and Juliet🩷
Between Milan, Venice and Verona… Verona was my favourite 😉 Milan and Venice were gorgeous and definitely worth while to explore. However, Verona seems to have more of a warmer vibe to it, and of course not as busy.

More of the Duomo. They had several large panes of multiple stained glass paintings. Crafted in the second half of the fifteenth century, each glass shows a scene of either the apocalypse in the centre pane, or the old and New Testament on the side panes. It’s an amazing sight and so much to take in.

Took a little trip last week😋
Stayed by Lag Garda as I was in Italy for the Bordolino Soccer tournament, but took a fun day trip to Milan🩷
Unbeknownst to us though, the traffic was terrible. Instead of getting to Milan under two hours… it took four hours.
The Duomo was gorgeous and incredible. The food was a tad overpriced but that was expected. Only shopped a bit. LV expected us to wait over 30 minutes for help even when we knew what we wanted…. so went to Armani where they helped us right away and were very kind😉. Overall it was a nice day trip, and the weather was amazing.

Long time no post. I had to take a little break for exams but I’m back with pictures from my trip to Wrocław!
Fun fact most of my living family is from or around Wrocław.
It was defiantly one of my favourite cities to visit, not just to see family, but also the architecture and there seemed to be so much to do.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine in Krakow
Fun fact, this entire room- the chapel - is made out of salt. If you’re ever visiting Poland you have to stop by and of course buy yourself a rock of salt on your way out 😉 I was lucky to get this shot with no one in the room🤪

Who’s ready for smigus dyngus today!?😋
My photo today is when I went to the Salt Mine around Krakow. As I mentioned in many of my posts I went last May and May is just before peak tourist season so I got some snaps of this beautiful place without anyone in them😜 including the most popular beautiful chapel that is completely made out of salt

It’s Holy Weekend. Poland has some beautiful traditions this time of year such as the Palm Sunday walk to the church or Pisanki 🌸
Aside from that, it is a sacred and reflective time for Catholics - and Christian’s alike.
What’s your Easter Family tradition?

Hello Kraków💕
Did you ever hear about Wawel’s dragon legend?
Back in the 13th century the dragon loomed over Wawel hill. He required weekly cattle, or else humans would have been devoured instead. In the hope of killing the dragon, King Krak called upon his two sons but they could not defeat the creature by hand, so they came up with a trick. They fed him a cattle skin stuffed with smoldering sulfur, causing his fiery death.
After the success, the younger prince killed his elder brother blaming the dragon for the death. However, his crime was exposed, and he was expelled from the country. Leaving Princess Wanda to take over the throne. Girl power!!

New week, new city 😉 this time in…. 📍Kraków
I was In Kraków for a week. I have seen so much in that time. Including Wawel Castle. The history is incredibly interesting and the castle, crypt and church is incredible to see. Wawel is full of legends and stories.
In this picture I’m in the Wawel Chakra - courtyard - which holds its own legend 😉

In between Warsaw and Krakow I stopped in Lublin for a couple of days. Although a small city with not many tourists, it has a lot of history and many historical monuments. Not to mention gorgeous parks.

This little town was incredibly empty - maybe because I went on a Sunday and everything is closed on Sunday’s - but there was no one. I felt like it was a ghost town.
They do have a beautiful castle with a view that I got to enjoy though 😉

Just across the border from Poland there is Czech.
This newly built sky bridge is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world! It’s about 721 meters long and about only 95 meters high, so not to scary😉

Gdańsk is beautiful, but it’s definitely expensive.
I stayed at an Airbnb that was about a five minute walk from this square and tried to go to soup kitchens (bary mleczne) to save some money and bought a handful of groceries.
St.Mary’s is also a gorgeous church. They had a tower to climb to see a view of Gdańsk. If you have an international ID you get 50% off 😋 Mass was also a nice experience, but I truly believe they should only let people in for mass during mass times because it was very distracting.

Helllo Warsawa 🫶🏻
This was my first stop on my Poland tour. I got an Airbnb right in old square and it had the most perfect view. The view made the five flights of stairs and no elevator totally worth it.
Warsawa was really fun although I was not there long enough to see the museums and historical sites. I definitely want to come back and see some more sights!
