If you are reading this expecting some modern treatise on self-mastery or a thrilling checklist to efficiency, you may be somewhat disappointed—or rather, redirected. I don't want to speak of doing, but of being, and therein lies the key to unlocking a kind of potential that all our labors, our sweat and striving, could never unveil.

There are among us, especially in these feverish days, those who, having heard the gospel of productivity preached by every corner of the marketplace, have come to believe that their worth is indexed by the weight of their efforts. They go from task to task, filling their hours with labors that expand not the mind but the to-do list, believing that this kind of industriousness is, in itself, their highest aim.

Yet, as the ancient wisdom says, it is not the ceaseless chisel of activity that sculpts the soul but the careful hand of intention, resting between the strikes of the hammer. It is the silences, the waiting, the choosing of the right action over the multitude of wrong ones that gives shape to the person.

Let us consider for a moment: the truest influence, the most vital, enduring, and life-giving kind, is born not from the scattershot of aimless exertion but from the single, sincere choice to act with purpose. This is not mere inactivity; it is the intentional passivity, the holy patience, that holds back from doing what one could for the sake of doing what one ought.

But what is the secret of such choice? It is neither mere calculation nor blind intuition. It is, I daresay, an attunement to the quiet voice of wisdom, the cultivation of that inner discernment that tells us when to act and when to stay our hand. The man or woman who learns to walk in step with this wisdom will find themselves in possession of a strange kind of influence—a power that seems beyond their efforts, a grace that extends beyond their grasp.

Choose the few things that hold within them limitless potential, and let the rest fall away. For in the end, influence is not the product of endless motion but the quiet impact of well-chosen moments, each holding the power of the atom, and each leaving in its wake a trail of light.

Why is overcoming chronic fear so critical to good energy?
".... because our mind controls our metabolism...... consider that 75 to 90% of human diseases are related to activation of stress related biology, and much evidence points to a common pathway between psychological stressors and metabolic dysfunction. Your cells 'listen' to all your thoughts through biochemical signals.."..
We're going to have a great conversation about this book soon. Tune in...

Ever think about your real body? once you read this book, you kind of want to read it again. lots of interesting ideas are presented.

"Creation begins in a field of infinite possibilities and unfolds in stages all the way up to the physical world. What makes your physical body real is the flow of possibilities through every level of creation. You stand at the pivot point of creation because your body is defined by how you relate to it."

"Your cells exhibit wisdom in the following ways:
-- They always communicate with each other
--They cooperate for the good of the whole body
-- They trust that they are meant to survive and thrive
--That TRUST enables them to live in the moment
--Cells know who they are
-- and that makes self-acceptance easy and natural"
Quantum Body by D. Chopra
