BOUNCE BACK: delay is not denial.
Russell J. Ledet, 34, spent four years patrolling the doctor's parking lot at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, where as a security guard, he watched people in white coats come and go out of the building. He only would fantasize about what life could be like for him if he was one.

On a one beautiful day, he asked one of the doctors if he would "shadow" him during patient visits and the doctor amazingly accepted his request respectfully. Ledet would then move him him to patients during rotations, and surgeries and would learn a few things there.

7 years after serving as a security guard in the same hospital, Ledet is assigned there again as a medical student. He is a third year medical student at Tulane University School of Medicine. He is pursuing his dream after years of setback.

Lesson: If you don't give up your dream, you will certainly get there nomatter the set backs and time lag. However, you need to position yourself and grow daily while on your pursuit.
COVID-19 and its related impacts may seem to have overpowered you, and delayed opportunities in your career, education, goals and dreams but stay awake--don't slumber. The time will come.

Imagine the Rwandese who run to Uganda in 1994 saying they want to create their own country here. They take over Kampala because I mean they have the power and might to do so. Then they slwoly start moving outside Kampala to wakiso, Mpigi, Mukono and they push out locals of those areas.

They dont expect these people who apparently now have no where to go to put up a fight, they should just shut up and leave or be forced out. The condition is you either become Rwandese or we push you out. Ofcourse being the humans we are, natives of these areas put up a fight and in return this gives the Rwandese a perfect excuse to respond with maximum force after all they're the almighty group. They have superior weaponary and a media system to control the narrative.

They claim they're the victims and only fighting back against Ugandans who are attacking them. Attacking them for what? Thats never dicussed. But this was a group that run away from their country as refugees fleeing a genocide. After years of gaining power and money they now want this new host country to themselves. They don't want to live with the original owners of the lands who warmly welcomed them with open arms because of their plight years ago. What if some day they also turn against them and flush them out. Their memories of the genocide create enough paranoia to have them act in advance to prevent this from ever happening.

And lucky enough there's some holly book written by their own ancestors that says after all Uganda belonged to them (Rwandese) years back so why not reclaim their rightful ancestral land.

NB: This is a fictious scenario trying to give perspective to a real scenario.

I am now convinced that accepting death is the ultimate liberation. Making peace with the fact that one day you will die, sets you free.

Because in view of death, everything else pales in comparison. But above all, all fear, all shame, all holdbacks, all these things disappear every time you make peace with death. You realize that at some point, when you are in your grave, it won’t matter that you danced yourself silly, it won’t matter that you tried things and failed.

There is only one motivation; “you are gonna die!” Once you learn this, you need no other motivation. “I am gonna die, so let me spread some love. Let me make the most of these few days. Let me not spend time in regret, let me do some adventurous stuff.”

That is why in Latin, you have two sayings; “Memento mori” and “Memento vivere.” Remember that you must die so that you remember to live. You can’t learn to live unless you’ve learned to die.

Today I read someone’s wish; “we hope that when death comes to take us, it finds us alive.”

It rained today. The city as usual turned into L. Kampala. Anyone who always dreamt of staying by a water front, you're among the few whose future has been secured. Congs.

As per the regime promises, jobs were also created. Idle body builders lift humans through deep waters at a meagre UGX 1000. As a motivation speaker once said, if he works hard and lifts 20 people, he'll be able to afford a glass of juice at Serena.

Police today launched the 2020 crime report. Defilement and r**e cases are up. Happens when a certain gender delegates thinking to the other head. Organs should stick to their original duties to avoid heinous crimes and making wrong emotional decisions. Talking to you who still use the heart for love.

It was also revealed that Uganda doesn't have a World Cup Qualifier worthy stadium. Namboole's toilets look like a diarrhoea exhibition centre. Nakivubo, like a first kiss, exists only in our memories. Makindye Mess is what its name is, a mess.

We only have Kitende left. However, Kitende doesn't have worthy access roads. In brief, an entire visiting team can be announced unfit/injured after an hour on the access roads. I think FIFA is dramatic. They can survive. With a few scratches.

Anyway, the other option is using one of Kenya's 11 stadia that meet the standards. 11! We don't even have one. We are a very unserious country. How we all haven't accidentally pushed beans in our noses is a mystery. Maybe we are unserious lite.

The phrase "Wabula ekisiibo ka kiggwe" should be avoided. It sounds like a threat. Or a fornication plan

Magogo's success, actual or perceived, is not under contest! That guy has done well, although many argue that he was simply hatching Mulindwa's eggs!
Even if it was entirely about that, he would still get credit for it. Yet I believe that it has been more than that and he sure has pumped in a lot of his own.

However, it is getting increasingly clear that his achievements are increasing at a decreasing rate. He doesn't have to wait for more embarrassment at the World Cup qualifiers. He can actually handover to a fresh person that's eager to make a mark!

I want Magogo to leave when his achievements are still fresh on our minds, not when his failures begin to choke us.

The Law Of Diminishing Marginal Utility states that all else equal, as consumption increases, the marginal utility derived from each additional unit declines. Magogo will not give us more satisfaction, for example, from a third AFCON qualification, than we got from the first one!. Similarly, if Magogo's dream is for us to get a World Cup qualification, it doesn't have to be under him. Someone else can achieve that, just like he achieved AFCON qualification after Mulindwa.

I don't know what exactly matters to Magogo, but he is going down a destructive road.

How do you treat your maid?
How do you treat fellow Ugandans?

Those are the questions you should ask yourself, before we even start talking about how our people are treated in the Middle-East!

Earlier today, I found young Ugandans in their usual hundreds, sitting by the roadside all the way from "Mukwano's Mosque" in Industrial Area. Some were crying and most were close to tears, helplessly looking at the tired Kakhi envelopes they were holding!

The sitting would slowly fade into a snailing line as one approached the Internal Affairs Ministry, and an even longer line inside the Internal Affairs Ministry, leading to a warehouse looking structure! I can't put the pain in words.
I could feel it from a distance; from all those faces; I could see drops of saliva flying (hyperbole) as police constables shouted orders at those in the line!

I don't know what happens to our people in the Middle-East, but I know what happens to our people here!
