Not sure why some humans get off on disrupting others. “Trolling” didn’t even exists yet when WoW launched in 2004 and the most toxic thing that could happen was getting loot Ninja’d.
This DDoS attack is just a cry for attention that may now result in jail time for the few that thought it would be funny to disrupt people’s weekend.
