𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗛𝗜𝗡 | 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱, 𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁

Setyembre 30, 2022 – Bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng National Peace Consciousness Month, ang Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) ay nakipagtulungan sa Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) at Commission on Higher Education (CHED) sa pagsasagawa ng 1st National Peace Education Summit nitong Setyembre 26-27, 2022 sa Davao.

Kasama ang mga dumalong tagapagtaguyod at mga kahanga-hangang modelo ng kapayapaan, nilayon ng summit na isulong ang pagsasama ng peace education sa curricular at extracurricular na mga aktibidad ng Basic at Higher Education.

Ang delegasyon ng DepEd ay kinatawan ng Office of the Assistant Secretary for Youth Affairs and Special Concerns (OASYASC) sa pamumuno ni Assistant Secretary Dexter A. Galban na naghatid ng mensahe sa ngalan ni Bise Presidente at Kalihim ng Edukasyon Sara Z. Duterte.

Kasama ang mga input mula sa Office of the Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction (OUCI), nagsilbi rin si ASec. Galban bilang isa sa mga tagapagsalita sa plenaryo sa kaganapan at iprinisinta ang mga hakbang ng Kagawaran sa pagtataguyod ng peace education.

Binigyang-diin din ni ASec. Galban ang ways forward sa pagtataguyod ng Kagawaran ng kapayapaan.

“With the support of our Curriculum & Instruction (CI) strand and our NGO & CSO partners, we look forward to further championing the culture of peace in our schools through improved monitoring & evaluation,” aniya.

Kasalukuyang itinalaga si ASec. Galban bilang kinatawan ng Kagawaran sa OPAPRU Government Peace Negotiating Panels (GPNPs) at Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslims in Mindanao - Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (BARMM - MBHTE).

Nakikipagtulungan din ang OASYASC sa BARMM - MBHTE bilang opisyal na itinalaga ng Kagawaran na lumahok sa mga aktibidad ng BARMM.
