The greatest kind of love.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 (KJV)

Nothing can compare to love when a life is on the line, just as Jesus Christ sacrificed His for our sake. Consider the firemen who are willing to go through fire to save a life, a soldier who protects the country, and so forth. While these people who put their lives on the line seem grander than a mother who sacrifices her time for her children or a father who works hard to provide for his family, such great love in action is equal in the eyes of God.

Beloved, whatever you are doing out of love – whether helping a friend with small donations or choosing to spare some time to listen to a broken person – is laying down your life for a friend. Whenever a part of you is willingly given to another, whether it is time, hard-earned money, or all kinds of effort, know that you are walking in love, and the Lord is so proud of who you are. Be encouraged. Praise be to God!

Prayer Point: Lord Jesus, thank You for laying down Your life for my sake. I have known what real love is because of the things that You have done. I desire to know You more and gaze at Your beauty so that I may walk like You and glorify our Father in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I Would like to share this with you.

Are You Living Your Own Wisdom?

All this have I proved by wisdom: I said, I will
be wise; but it was far from me. That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out? Ecclesiastes 7:23-24 (KJV)

Living by human wisdom leads to weariness and vanity. King Solomon started well with God; his humility and sacrifice opened a door for him, and God granted Him divine wisdom. However, he allowed his devotion to God to be marred by ungodly associations and foreign wives with their idols (1 Kings 11:4). Soon he found himself pursuing ungodly adventures and pleasures. In the end, he discovered that they were all only vanity.

Dear beloved, don’t depend on your human wisdom and intellect. Rely on the wisdom of God by discovering your God-given purpose and asking God to always direct you in your decisions, choices, and plans (Proverbs 3:5-6). When God directs and leads you, joy will be your portion, and there will be nothing like vanity in the end. Hallelujah! Be An Overcomer!

Prayer Point: My dear Father and my God, thank You for counseling me to avoid living in my own wisdom. Yes, the wisdom of this world leads to vanity. Please give me Your wisdom to always be devoted to You. Lead me to use this wisdom to bless lives and draw people to You in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Prayer, preaching, the Word of God… these are all things that can be powerful elements as we plan a worship service. And ultimately, you want people leaving your church saying, ‘It was good to have been in the house of the Lord.
