So, I came across an Ad that Bamboo posted on their page and I fell in love with the editing that went into it. The motion graphics and all were top notch. Like, who the heck made that, I want to meet that person right now 😍.

Anyways, I got inspired to recreate that same ad and also add my own fine touches to it. And yes, this threw me out of my comfort zone. This particular project was mainly powered by motion graphics and that part alone made it more challenging and fun. The ability to breakdown how certain visuals were created and recreate it yourself is a magnificent skill and I tried doing that here.

I've used softwares like affinity designer and affinity photos from the affinity suite and I must say, I've never looked back.

These softwares are not just powerful but are very easy to use. Great intuitive design, lots of comparable features between these softwares and that of the industry standards from Adobe and they're also very fast and responsive.

They're also one of the few companies that offer one time purchases on their product and if you don't want to take my words for it or if you're skeptical whether they're good or not then head over to their website and start your 6 months free trial for all the software in the Affinity suite.

Tell me I'm not the only one that took time to try out the synchronization feature in Premiere Pro 😭 .

That stuff has truly been a life saver and a time saver as well and I truly recommend it for everyone especially if you're trying to align audios together..

One of the things that I didn't fully do so well when I started out filming was in recording videos. I would always record handheld and as a result, I would end up with shaky footage. And as someone thinking that every problem could be solved in post production, I would apply the warp stabilizer effect to my clips and it will just become warbly 😅.

To get stable shots, you could use devices like: A tripod | Monopod for stable shots. For shots that involve movements, you could use a Steadicam, Shoulder rig or even dolly systems. But these are mostly used in higher end productions. For something versatile, a Gimbal will be a much better choice..

A Gimbal is a handheld stabilization device used for videography and cinematography essentially.

In essence, even without some of this equipment, you could still find other ways to stabilize your shot depending on what you have available. Which brings the question: How do you stabilize your shots?

I don't think a lot of people know this but if your phone can record in the same video resolution as a camera, it doesn't necessarily mean that the quality will be the same as the Camera. There may be slight differences....Point to be noted.

Branded Products like Gears and Devices are typically products that come with a recognisable brand name. They are devices that are known and somewhat trusted in the market..

Unbranded Products are typically products that are not well known and do not come with a recognisable brand name. Because of this, they may not have the same level of trust from consumers and may not be recommended compared to their branded counterparts....

If you were to buy any gear or device, which would you go for? Remember, A reputable name doesn't always ensure quality.

Open AI has introduced a new technology that can turn prompts to realistic videos. It's able to generate videos up to 60 seconds featuring, complex camera motion and multiple characters with vibrant emotions. All these whilst maintaining quality. It also has the ability to create whatever the user asks no matter how difficult it may seem.

Excited to start the new Year by sharing a spec project for the Apple Watch Ultra hosted by TMS Productions. I enjoyed each and every process that was put into this and I am truly grateful for how challenging it felt.

I shot and made some scenes myself as I needed it for the story I had envisioned. I also used some shots from the Official Apple watch Ultra Commercial and I have to say, it really helped me a lot. I gained lots of inspiration from the Official ad and it really gave me lots of insights. And I truly love the videos shot by TMS Productions. It made the entire Ad come together.

All in all, I am truly grateful for the opportunity to participate in this editing challenge. It shaped me a lot and I was able to put myself to the test. I also learned new stuff and tricks in the process and it was amazing. Huge thanks to TMS Productions for the opportunity.

Officially signing off for the year 2023. 2023 was a rollercoaster of emotions, challenges and growth. Imagine starting the year with nothing and leaving with everything. That's how I feel. I'm grateful for what 2023 brought. I'm grateful for the experiences that shaped me and am grateful for everything we've been able to do throughout the year.

I personally saw how a dream of mine became a reality. Since I was 10, I've always wanted to create something and I was able to create videos this year. Not 1 nor 2 but as many as I could and each video I created made me a better creator. That's the secret.

To people out there that want to do great things for themselves and also for others. To those who have great visions and goals, remember that your voice is your superpower and with your perspective, you can achieve anything. But you will never achieve anything if you stay closed up or if you don't start.

And so, I tell you today to come out of your shell and just start. Whatever your goals are, they can only become a reality only if you start. And yes you are going to face lots of challenges but what I've learnt from 2022 right up to this point is that challenges and failures and hard times only make you stronger. It's all part of the process.

I'm super grateful for everything that occurred in 2023 and more importantly, I'm super grateful for the community we were able to build. Thank you for being here and thank you for sticking around. To greater things to come 🥂🎊🦅
