Randi's third episode is out now on your favorite podcast app and now ON YOUTUBE.
Here's a couple clips from our tiktok with Randi and Laci talking about confusion in GO Ministries International.
I am in the process of starting a YouTube page for the podcast that has video clips and full episodes with subtitles. When I used the youtube search bar to see if you can find the page, an ad for audible with our podcast on it came up! I didn't even know we were on audible! But that's another great way to listen and even download episodes.

So many people loved Randi on the road!
Did you know she is Steve Munds' niece?
Did you know her whole family was involved with GO?
Did you know she was involved with GO for over 10 years?
Her first podcast episode is out now!
Randi's Episode drops tomorrow!
The lineup for this conference is so problematic to me because all the ones the GO leaders are teaching on are ones we have mentioned in the podcast as being the foundation for controlling interns and causing lasting damage.
It might sound good to learn about honor. Until you realize that the view of honor they are teaching is for you to be loyal to your abuser because God has put them in your life. For you to not question their direction or you are dishonored God.
And then right after you get a lesson on how you should love the abuse leadership hands you because it's done out of a love for you and to make you a better person. And not only should you love it, you should ask them for more. You should smile and tell them thank you.
But that's not all! The next day you get to hear again about how good leadership is and the pedestal you should have them on in your life.
And then you get to hear about their views on homos*xuality. Despite your own personal views on this, I'm willing to guess you won't like how they tell any young women that become close friends with another young women that they are homos*xuals and in sin. I bet you won't like how this view isolates young people as they are also told they shouldn't be too close of friends with the opposite s*x. So they just shouldn't have close friends that they can talk to about things that bother them or they might be committing s*xual sin. You also might be able to talk out about how troublesome these teachings are if you have a close friend so they want they stopped all together.
If anyone has recordings of these teachings I would love to hear them!
I dont know anything about the docu-series she has up in the background but what she's saying about emotional outbursts was so true at GO!
Members of leadership would get to have "righteous anger" and direct it at us interns and maybe even angrily chew us out for these long wordy "teachings".
This also just reminded me of a time when the road team was around Laci but at the ranch with rest of us and mentioned how if someone was having trouble with customer service just let Laci get on the phone and she will set them straight. Then they laughingly told stories about orders being messed up and Laci calling and "being mama bear" and getting their money back or something. The story conveyed to me that she was yelling at people who were just trying to do their job which seemed opposite the public persona we were told to have.
Do any ex-interns know what I'm talking about? I never witnessed it for myself, just this conversation so maybe it was portrayed wrong. Any one have examples?
It seems a little extra sad when a Bible verse just reminds you of past abuse.
This verse was used during the GO Ministriest Internship to get us to put down our personality and pick up our cult personality.
They didn't use those words.
It was much more sly. Much more manipulative.
You see, a cult personality is the personality you put on to survive in a high control environment. Remember how all the interns are so energetic, always excited, and always ready to help? It's not just good work ethic and a sunny disposition. They were informed that that's is what they are supposed to be like, that that's what it means to have Christ living in you.
But what happens if you fail to exhibit those exact characteristics? PUNISHMENT.
Maybe it's writing Bible verses hundreds of times. Maybe it's running till you puke, or on frozen ground in dress shoes. Maybe it's the shame of being called out and berated in front of your peers. The thing is, you never knew what the punishment was going to be, you just knew it was coming.
So in order to avoid punishment... In order to protect your teammates from being punished for you.... In order to not upset the leadership that took the place of god in our lives... You "acted like Christ" at all times.
So instead of these pictures bringing joy of seeing lives changed for the better, they bring fear. Fear of another young person trusting GO Ministriest Intl with a position of influence in their lives only to leave with trauma, confusion, and less self-respect.
Champions 4 Christ has historically been one of the biggest recruiting grounds for GO Ministries International and it looks like they will have that chance to influence the unsuspecting youth there this year as well.
I know this picture is really small so it's all pixelated. I wanted to see if anyone remembered what this is! A former intern sent the picture in to us.
Just as a little update, we are getting episodes edited and will be putting more out there soon! We also have many former interns and a few former leaders lined up to record their journey as well!
We are not done exposing what GO Ministries has done.
Spotify will soon be adding a ratings feature! Once it rolls out, once you listen to an episode for at least 30 seconds you'll be able to rate us. We appreciate all your feedback!
There is incredible healing in reflection. This time of year it is normal to reminisce on where you have been.
This month we will be reposting a few impactful moments from this year’s journey together.
Join us in the New Year for the next episode of Our Journey!
I just realized that I said in the intro that Victoria was in the internship during the same time Carissa was but she actually says in the podcast that Carissa wasn’t there.
I apologize for messing that up.

“I actually was trying to leave from bootcamp and I wasn’t allowed to.”
Victoria’s episode is up now!
Hahaha. Wut?
Our Journey is a podcast that has been cathartic for those who have been on it. And that is the main goal of the podcast, I’m so happy that we have been accomplishing that.
It has never been my intention to destroy anyone’s life. Although many of our guests would like to see GO Ministries International shut down so that no more interns leave that place traumatized, very few - if any - of the guests have expressed malice toward the Bredahls or Munds.
In fact multiple past interns have shared their experience in our private group about attempting to reach out to them privately and reconcile things; only to be ignored or blocked.
Some have come to the point where if they are not blocked, they are speaking up on social media.
It takes bravery to face your abuser in any capacity, whether it’s in person, over social media, or even just a podcast episode.
I have to applaud Kathy for speaking up even after other comments have been deleted. See what she said below in the comment section. Facebook is being weird and not showing the third picture

Noah’s podcast is releasing at midnight! He mentions the boot camp shirts and getting a number spray painted on you that would be referred to for the rest of the bootcamp experience.
This is an interns actual shirt from that time.
Bring back memories for anyone else?
"For 8 years I thought I was the only one who had a problem with the internship. For some of those years I thought I was in the wrong and just offended. For some of those years I thought all the other past interns whom I loved would hate me for the way I was thinking. Being able to openly say that what happened was wrong and have others agree has been so healing. "

Can we take a minute to think about the fact that the girls team was NEVER and I mean NEVER EVER allowed to go anywhere in Shreveport that was 1) unapproved (deemed safe/appropriate) and 2) ALONE?!
But they kicked Carissa out in the middle of the night.
Took her off the ranch at 1:30 AM and left her at a hotel in Shreveport, Louisiana.
ALONE! At 3:30 AM
All based on a false accusation.
Tell me again this is something nice unculty Ministries do...
No grace. No mercy. No unconditional love.
I posted this to my private page a year ago. Just over a week before our first podcast episode came out. I was just really starting to unfold what it meant to have been in a cult.
🤍
🤍
Has anyone watched Wild Wild Country on Netflix? The first episode it sounds great. Like you almost wanna join them! And then they show how it takes a turn.
Cults are not always started by evil people purposing to do evil things.
They are not always made up of evil people doing evil things.
Cults can even be beneficial at times to communities and members!
But absolute power corrupts absolutely. Just because it started out good doesn't mean it can't go bad. Just because you've seen them do good things doesn't mean they can't do bad. Just because you've heard bad things doesn't mean there can't be good. But it doesn't make them any healthier or any safer.

"It’s definitely brought up a lot of memories and triggered some old wounds, but it also helped me to grieve in a healthy way instead of bottling things up.
For years, I thought I might have been the only one who battles cptsd.
The flashbacks, panic attacks, and nightmares that never seemed to go away.
Ever since hearing the episodes on the podcasts, I empathized with the other interns who were also hurt by the core leadership. We thought we could trust them. We were wrong. And that is why we must warn others of the dangers of GO, so they don’t experience the same." -Jessica W
Contrary to some beliefs, OUR JOURNEY Podcast is not hell bent on bringing GO Ministries International down.
It's a place for open dialog.
It's a place for community, sharing our real life stories and experiences while in GO Ministries International. It's about giving voice to those who were silenced and made to feel alone for so long.
It's OUR JOURNEY
"Josh and Krista's episode was so good! I feel like I am processing along with them. I feel the same way, I can't easily say aloud that I'm mad at Steve for his mismanagement of Laci.
But I am mad.
I'm so mad they can't even bother to apologize to us.
Honestly, I am disappointed.
Disappointed in the lack of accountability, disappointed the church refuses to look at them critically.
The fact that they won't even put out a generic
'We're sorry for any negative experiences any GO Alumni might have had'
It's so simple, the most basic politically correct PR thing to do and they refuse to acknowledge us?!
Just disappointed"

One of the things I think is hardest for a lot of us who have survived a cult is forgiving ourselves for what we did.
Some of us did some terrible things in the name of survival. Some of us did some terrible things just trying to fit in. And some of us did terrible things because we truly believed we knew the truth when no one else did.
But the important thing is, that’s not who are now. We’ve grown. We’ve changed. It’s okay to ask forgiveness from others. But it’s also okay to ask it from yourself!

Carissa, Rikki (our social media manager), and Mercedes (podcast host) all joined a cult 10 years ago today!
In Shelina’s podcast we talk about how a lot of what was considered spiritual experiences could also just be classified as emotional or experiences that release dopamine. Interns were taught to “faith it till you make it.” This essentially meant you should just fake it and believe it will eventually happen and it will. If you were feeling tired and they needed you to be energetic, faith it till you make it. If you’re sick and throwing up but they don’t do sick days, faith it till you make it. If they say the spirit is moving for us all to be dancing and laughing and you don’t feel that, faith it till you make it. In her episode, Shelina talks about how she refused to fake it and how that ended up for her. In Anonymous' podcast, she talks about keeping her distance from other interns in order to keep herself safe. It's funny how GO has so much emphasis on being together as one team and has so many rules and punishments based on team building, yet interns feel so isolated. In our time preparing to move the ministry from Mora, Minnesota to Shreveport, Louisiana, there were some hiccups along the way. It took much longer than expected for the interns who were still stationed in Mora to actually move down. The conditions we lived in were definitely not what we thought we were paying for when signed up for GO Ministriest International. Black mold. Frozen pipes. Sleeping by space heaters to keep warm. Find out more in Carissa's podcast at https://pod.co/our-journey/carissa
In 2012 GO MInistries International moved headquarters from Mora, Minnesota to Shreveport, Louisiana. Interns did not know the real reason for the departure. The caravan drive south could have cost interns' lives. Here the whole story at https://pod.co/our-journey/carissa
Carissa came to GO Ministries International under false pretenses given by the ministry. She thought she was coming to a fully functioning School of Missions, but there wasn't even a set curriculum at this point. Listen to the whole podcast ata https://pod.co/our-journey/carissa
At GO Ministriest International they play a game known as the "Communist Game" during bootcamp. Some find it fun. Some find it terrifying. What do you think? Josh tells more boot camp stories in his podcast at https://pod.co/our-journey/josh-l
Some of our stories about bootcamp get CRAZY. In the latest episode, Carissa talks about a leader on a motorcycle chasing down interns that were running away on foot. In Tyler's episode, he articulates perfectly how the crazy bootcamp experience was really an analogy and precursor for what the whole internship was like. https://pod.co/our-journey/tyler
As an intern, we were told what music we could listen to. No secular music. No music that could be mistaken for secular. No worship songs that stirred up too many emotions. No music that Laci for some reason didn't like. Although to be fair, I remember her telling us she just didn't feel right about KJ-52s "Do the Bill Cosby" song and like a year later the allegations against Bill Cosby came out. So she was right about that one! https://pod.co/our-journey/tyler

I feel like this guy should write a book and then narrate the audio version. I'd listen to it, no matter the topic. Tyler talks about Christian Tropes https://pod.co/our-journey/tyler
"Tell me you were in a cult, without twlling me you were in a cult." . I'm sure we all have a few more we could add to Merie's list. . But they "Aren't a cult," They just have ridiculously high standards that sound eriely cult like and fit well into the BITE model when stated out loud... I'd say, "but that's none of my business 🐸☕" But it absolutely is! After paying into and promoting this "ministry" for years myself and other past interns like Merie and those who've shared their stories on OUR JOURNEY Podcast are making it our business to shine light on the truth hidden behind the facade that is GO Ministries International.
