In total Our Village United awarded 500k in grants, deployed countless hours of programming led by titans in the industry, coaching and wellness support. But, what I’m most proud of is the village we’ve built for the entrepreneurs that we serve.
My team at locked in on a mission. I absolutely LOVE doing this meaningful and fulfilling work with them. Iron sharpens iron.

I have been blessed to interview pretty much everyone at many amazing moments in entertainment and culture since I started this chapter of my career a few short years ago. Moments that this little girl from Louisiana NEVER thought she would see let alone be a part of.
But truthfully, this particular day 4 years ago started off horribly for me. I was not mentally in the best space at all. I had also just been told by two separate opportunities “we think you are so talented, but can you please just wear a wig?“
I was frustrated. I felt invisible. And everyone knows, it is really hard to go to work and be “ON“ when you don’t feel that great about yourself. HOWEVER this night was magical and one I will always remember!
At check-in, I will never forget seeing the Army of Dora Milaje walk past me headed to the red carpet. It took my breath away. One of the women cut me a look like “why are you late and why are you not dressed?” 🤣 my fellow beautiful bald QUEENS💕 no one told them to wear wigs for a job that night!
got me focused. And the magic in the air refilled my cup. I cannot wait to see the new film this weekend.
I am now Done rambling. You just never know where a day will take you…
