Trend #1: Companies look at ChatGPT as a tool to help them finish their tasks, but that’s it.
And it works for that, but there is another opportunity.
So why not ensure that your business, your products, and your services are recommended when people ask ChatGPT questions?
Here are the factors that we see causing ChatGPT to recommend companies.
Trend #2: Spend more time updating versus creating content.
Did you know that roughly 4.6 billion pieces of content are being published on the web daily?
It’s hard to stand out with all that noise.
That’s why when we analyzed 5,204,391 pieces of social content, 59.4% had no engagement.
The same goes with text-based content… people spend more time creating it than maintaining and updating it.
But when you look at the top-performing sites, the big thing they have in common is that they spend more time updating content than creating new content.
Trend #3: SEO isn’t about popular keywords, it’s about questions and new keywords.
15% of all searches are brand new searches that have never been searched before.
And 8% are question-based searches.
You may not think this is a big opportunity but think of Quora.
No one talks about them, but it is the 56th most popular site in the world and generates 852 million visitors a month according to Similar Web.
Trend #4: Lo-fi content performs better than hi-fi content.
When we looked at 3000 business profiles on TikTok and Instagram, we found that businesses tend to produce high-quality content from a production standpoint.
People, though, prefer lo-fi content made from a phone as it feels more authentic.
Trend #5: People consume short-form content, but they tend not to remember what they consumed.
The results were interesting when we examined what people were able to recall a day after consuming both short-form and long-form content.
As you can see, even though people prefer consuming short-form content, you will build a much stronger brand if you focus on long-form content.
Ideally, create long-form content, chop it into short-form versions, and publish both.
