I am bringing picture monday over from Twitter and Bluesky to be able to post more stuff here. So here's the picture I posted this Monday, and I promise next week it will actually be on a Monday. So this is a cover I gushed over in the current Germany episode:

Your long wait is finally rewarded! Episode 15 is a massive three parter - Germany!

I just backed the sequel game, and I think I will have to do a Slovenia episode one day just to get an excuse to interview the author. ;) I had this 15 year break where I hardly bought any new games, but this one was one of the few I am going for. I have the print versions of most of the stuff in the bundle, but perhaps it's interesting for someone else.
(and yes, still working on Episode 15)

Through MONDAY, AUGUST 19 we present the ULTRAVIOLET GRASSLANDS BUNDLE featuring THE ULTRAVIOLET GRASSLANDS, the psychedelic fantascience Rainbowlands caravan pointcrawl campaign setting for Old School FRPGs by designer-illustrator Luka Rejec at WTF Studio. At the edge of the Rainbowlands stands the Violet City, the last bastion of civilization. Your player characters, seeking money or ancient secrets, lead epic caravan journeys across the Ultraviolet Grasslands -- past the Way Stone Graveyard, the Behemoth Shell, Dead Bridge, the Near Moon, the Cauldron of Revitalized Divinity, and dozens more locations -- to the fabled Black City on the shore of time and space. In both its 2020 First Edition (funded in a February 2019 Kickstarter campaign and its 2022 "director's cut" enhanced version, "Ultraviolet Grasslands" has earned praise for its fevered vision of a dying-earth world inspired by Moebius' "Airtight Garage," Jodorowsky, "Fury Road," and heavy metal. (And, uh, "Heavy Metal.")

This ULTRAVIOLET GRASSLANDS offer enters the Third Portal of the Black City and gets transported through the soulfire of a mad Dragonsun to a hard landing in a desert of borosilicate sand speckled with fragments of fossilized demon blood MONDAY, AUGUST 19.

Hey it's been a bit quiet around me because my computer is at the repair shop and they are kind of slow. All recent interviews are of course saved in other places too, but I currently don't have access to most of my software or passwords. Also today, I found out a tweet I saved about a role-playing convention in Bangalore was actually about a convention in Baltimore :D

I don't usually do adverts, but this is a game from someone I interviewed way back in Episode 7 (Ukraine) and I got to play it online too, so I think it's really cool and also supports the gaming scene in Ukraine:

Episode 11 - China is out! This one was the hardest to do, because people in Mainland China don't use Facebook or Twitter or YouTube... So how do you find them? Find out more about this, police raids on Murder Mystery games, and how to spell Cthulhu here:

The next episode will be epic, though I hope I can contain it in one part. Will be hard, because even though I had less interviewees, some of them talked a lot, because the country's gaming scene is quite unique. Which place will it be about? Well, you either gotta listen to the teaser at the end of last episode, or wait till Monday the 12tth, when I post a picture on Bluesky that will give it away.

I can't believe I've done 10 of them, but here we are - Hungary (again in two parts because I couldn't help myself):

I just found a TTRPG actual play video in Farsi and it's glorious.

It is vital to listen to a finished episode to check if it really works. I just started listening to the massive two-part Episode 9, and had mistakenly deleted the introduction of one interviewee. Then, after re-inserting that, the technical fiddly-dums I do to produce the final file went super quick - turned out it only exported those 2 minutes. I think I now got it - but gotta listen to it again, so that you don't get a faulty episode :) Also did another interview for Episode 11 today. Teaser: back to Asia again.

We continue our miniseries on Eastern European countries with Georgia. In this episode, we hear about how to get TTRPGs in a small market off the beaten path, creative ways of adapting rules, and why you should always have your dice nearby.

What's up with France there? I mean I was there in July, but I didn't hand out business cards for the podcast or anything? Anyways, welcome, and I'm actually planning the France episode for later this year, because of course I did some research when I visited. (research: visited to game shops, talked with the people there)
