My guy is 2 months today and I just can’t believe it!
He loves to eat, fight sleep, eat again, sleep, talk, smile and poop…in that order.
He’s the perfect blend of mommy and daddy although I’m so glad he is taking majority of his dad’s calmness, but don’t push him - He can roar like his momma! 😂😂😂 I kid, I kid.
Cam is my sunshine on a rainy day! His smiles and laughs get me every time! Happy 2 months, baby boy!

Words fail me…I can’t believe you are gone. Just two weeks ago my therapist asked me who was on my postpartum team, who my “mommy friends” are and the first name I mentioned was you. 😭You showed up for me in more ways than I can count and I’m so grateful for the time we had together. We were friends in college, but life made you my sister. You were so selfless…even while you were going through, you never failed to make sure I was okay! You were always there to answer my motherhood, hair and marriage questions. I don’t know how I’m going to handle
Bri by myself. 😂😂 You were always down to tag team her with me! Too many memories to say, just know I’m going to miss you boo! you were a force to be reckoned with. Take your rest!

Yesterday made 1 week that my son has been on earth side. Can’t believe just last week he was in NICU and now we are home…he’s a fighter already! We are enjoying each and every moment with our Autumn blessing! He is perfect.
Thanks to my hubby and momma who have made my load much lighter during this time. I’m just so grateful to get to experience this phase and have help - it makes all the difference. What can I say…they’ve been my rock and I’m so appreciative.
I pray all is well with my tribe! Say hi to Cambry!

Today is my due date…and baby Mac has not made his entrance yet! For that reason, I will not be taking advice for the rest of the week, but will gladly accept all prayers and blessings! 😂😂 I kid, I kid (*there’s probably some truth in this*)
I’m not mad though because once we are there, ain’t no going back! He will come when he is ready! 😂😂

If you’re looking for me you can find me somewhere nestled between happy and content.
Lately I’ve been getting so many comments and questions like “do you have ____ ready for the baby?”, “are you still trying to buy a house before baby?”, “did you do ____?”, “you need to do such and such before baby arrives.” The answer to all those questions and comments are NO and NO I DON’T. Baby Mac and mommy are overflowing with blessings. It’s that simple.
The thing is, sure I want all those things, but I refuse to be anxious when God has already blessed me abundantly. He will give me what he wants in due season, but right now all I want to do is be a great steward over what he blessed me with already. I’m happy and content!
My message tonight: don’t let anyone rush you out of being happy and content. You can find God’s beautiful blessings in this season.

Hey to my tribe!
I know I’ve been MIA during this season of my life (unapologetically), but I’m slowly going to try to get back in the groove of it all! I missed you all so much! Happy birthday to my man, my baby daddy 🙈🤭🤭...my husband!!
He is such a rare, pure and gentle soul that will also get you together if need be! 🤣He’s exceeded my dreams and what can I say...I’m happy to be by his side! No long post here, but just know he’s more than I prayed for and I’m so grateful! I can’t imagine loving him more, but I already know seeing him with our son is about to send me over the moon!
Y’all help me wish the love of my life a happy birthday!

If you’ve been in my stories you know that life has been busy busy since finding out about our little boy. I’ve been on the road nonstop for my job and my husband has been working hard as well.
When I’m gone for overnight trips I like to prepare easy meals for my husband to pop in the oven to warm and eat on for the week...this is one of those meals.
It takes about 30 minutes to prepare, feeds a large family and even your picky eaters will probably love it. Basically, you can’t go wrong with this casserole.

We are having....
A baby boy!!!!
I know so many of you have been inboxing me about this and I’m so sorry I’ve had you all waiting. Life has been so busy lately, but we are soooo excited to be having a baby boy! Every emotion that is close to excited and elated is how we feel.
Baby boy, you are well loved. Thanks to all of our family and friends that showed up and showed out in support of our gender reveal. We are still receiving gifts that I haven’t even opened! We appreciate our village so much!

Guess what y’all?...
Tomorrow we find out the gender of Baby McCranie and I couldn’t be more excited!
You all voted last week...45% think it’s a boy and 55% think it’s a girl! I would be happy either way, but I’m really leaning towards boy these days! Did y’all see the last ultrasound? It definitely looks like a boy, but we will see tomorrow!

..well maybe not in this picture, but believe me I am showing that I am 18 weeks and 4 days!
I’m grateful for many things, but on this 29th birthday I’m most thankful for life and the gift of creating life. Being a parent will be my most important mission and ministry in life and I don’t take that lightly. I think it’s crazy that one day I will have this to look back on and show my baby love that he/she was in my womb while writing this. Crazy, right? (I’m actually going to start an open letter series here for that purpose as well.)

Today I woke up twenty-nine and I’m FULL. I’m just so grateful that I have allowed the last 28 years to teach me instead of break me. My prayer for my life has always been, I want life to make me sweeter and not harder. After all that I’ve been through, I still have a pure heart and for that I’m thankful.

Happy everyone!
If you’ve been following me long enough, you know I work as an Environmental Specialist. Aside from my job, I love figuring out better ways to garden organically.
One thing I know is that: in order for my children to have a good life, we must create a more sustainable future for them.
Some easy ways we can do this is by:
🌻 Throw your trash in the garbage.
It sounds simple, but it’s grievous how many people throw their trash out the window every single day. During winter months I cannot believe how much trash is under those fallen leaves! This will help protect our wildlife and so much more. Also, take it a step further and throw those cans and bottles in the recycle bin.
🌻Ditch the pesticides when gardening.
Not only are pesticides harmful to our bodies when consumed, it’s harmful to planet earth. Honestly, it’s a vicious life cycle. Try using plant oils like rosemary, lemongrass, eucalyptus, etc. to protect your plants and veggies from critters. I’ve found organic neem oil to be the best organic pesticide there is. Oh, while we are at, try swapping regular fertilizers for homemade, natural fertilizers. Veggie scraps, banana peels, coffee grounds, etc. are the best!
🌻 Conserve your water.
No, I don’t mean stop drinking water, but be conscious of how much water you use on taking showers, washing dishes, washing clothes or cars, etc. It all adds up. I read in a magazine the other day that if we don’t drastically reduce our water usage, there will be a severe water shortage by 2040. While that might not seem close, our children will have to deal with this crisis if we don’t change our habits today. Don’t only conserve your water, but always, ALWAYS advocate for clean drinking water in your communities and beyond.

Don’t ask me why my tongue is blue. Something about announcing my pregnancy made me feel childish this day. I literally ate blue fun dip right before taking this picture KNOWING I was about to take it! 😂🙈
As week comes to a close, I wanted to leave something positive on my page.
I’ve done all the research about black maternal mortality rates and such, but honestly at this point in my I can’t focus on that because I would be terrified beyond belief. I’m happy I’m informed, but instead I’m choosing to focus my energy on things I can control.
I appreciate my dope black doctor and doula that have supported me up to this point. Although I don’t put all of my faith in them (because they are human), I feel like I’ve made the best decision for my family and that’s all that matters. Now, all I can do is pray for the best. And y’all should know I am and will continue to demand the care I deserve for this pregnancy and furthermore!
The message I would like for you to take away from this post is: be informed, but don’t allow it to evoke fear. Make the best decision for you and your baby. Live knowing there’s more life ahead!

If you wanna know where I am...I’m on this wave.
Blame it on the pregnancy or whatever. If you can look at an Instagram picture or Facebook post and talk about people like you know them, you need help. Friends or family.
Oh, and I’m in my second trimester and I’m coming swinging. You all will get my real pregnancy experience on this page. I plan to tell y’all the good, bad and ugly and here’s the start.
I had a conversation with some women during the VERY beginning of my pregnancy. They didn’t know I was pregnant, but call it divine intervention; randomly, they began to reminisce on their pregnancy days. As they proceeded, the conversation took an unforeseen turn as they began to make a negative comments about another pregnant woman.
I left that conversation knowing that I would truly watch the company I keep during my pregnancy and moving forward. Protecting my peace is my first priority.

Happy Sunday!
Finding out I am going to be a mommy really put so many things in perspective for me. One of those being: getting my iron levels together.

How I looked leaving my therapy session today.
Just to be able to explain how I feel in a safe space is unexplainable and liberating. I understand when she says that therapy brings clarity.
I am growing by any means necessary.
I refuse to stay the same.
I want to be better, think and feel better. Whew, and to think this is only the beginning! Y’all, buckle your seatbelts for this ride! 😂😂
My motto is: even if the people around me won’t heal/ grow, that doesn’t dictate the healing and growing I have to do.
I meant it when I said my word this year is BUILD. I’m building something no one can tear down!!!
