Big Ugly!

With the win, Pete Ireland joins an elite group of offensive lineman. He is just the third OL, joining Ryan Contento and Warren Hile, to win the Big Ugly award more than twice.

Coach Evans Sportsmanship Award: Gabe Regester

Gabe is one of those special athletes that don't come around very often. Gabe is another record breaker, breaking the most yards for returns set by Dlron Simmons in 2020. But what sets him a part from the rest is his sportsmanship. Gabe really sets the standard in this category.

Kevin High Award: Ian Valente

Another member of an impressive Rookie class this year. Ian led all running backs in yards this season in an offense you should only see at a military academy. Ian's ability to find seams through an imposing defense led the first year Buffaloes into the playoffs and had one of the best rushing offenses since Dubois.

Defensive Rookie of the Year: Laron Woody

Another monster on an already monstrous defense, Laron made it happen. Whether it was on the right or left side of the defensive line or occasionally at LB Laron made everyone pay. Don't let the smile in the pic confuse you this bull played with bad intentions making QBs and RBs lives a living nightmare.

Offensive Rookie of the Year: London Johnson

The Comanche have a weird way of attracting bloodline players to their team. There are a couple of players on their team where you can say I remember your father playing in this league. London is no different. His father played for the Hitmen. London is on a different time though as the Rookie QB can hurt you not only on the ground but through the air as well. Not many QBs can say they led their team to the Keystone Bowl as a rookie.

Nick Sipes Award: Zach Hoy

Nobody in a three year span has more tackles than Zach Hoy. What's more impressive is the dedication he has for his craft. Zach may be one of the most annoying defenders you will ever have to go against. Between him calling out your audibles or moving to the play before the play even happens, his play studying and attention to detail is amazing.

Defensive Back of the Year: Michael Casado

Hawks always circle around until they find what they are looking for. Casado does just that. A ball hawk in every sense of the word. Whether it's at corner or safety chances are if the ball is thrown his way he will come down with it. Not many people can say they had 11 INTs in one season. Casado can...

Special Teams: RJ Buford

When you think of Special Teams you think of Shamaar Coates, Dlron Simmons, players that if your kicker is dumb enough to kick to them they are going to make you pay. RJ Buford is another name that should be added to that list, whether it's a punt return or a kick return... if you make the mistake to kick to him he will make you pay.

Kez Genevro Award: Elliott Walker
Offensive Player of the Year: Elliott Walker.

When addressing Elliott with 2 Ts, talk to him nice because that's exactly what he is. This man set three league records this season and almost broke a fourth. Most rushing yards in a game, most receiving yards in a game, most receptions in a game... and I bet if you look at the pic of him winning the Kez Genevro Award from last season, his hair will probably look exactly the same.

Defensive Player of the Year: Jimmy Werner

From All Star MVP to Defensive MVP, Jimmy Werner has had an amazing journey in the GEFA. Out of all the hats he has worn, including Keystone Bowl Champ, I'm sure his proudest moment was winning the big man fastest man in the All Star events yesterday.

Asst. Coach of the Year: Coach Q. One of the greatest defensive minds in GEFA history. Coach Q was on top of the leader boards when it came to defense this year. When the President came up with this award a couple years ago, it was Coach Q he always had in mind when making this award a league award. Three years into this awards existence it is with great honor that I was finally able to give it to my brother.

Coach of the Year: Monk Williams... Monk Williams and the Dauphin County Comanche were supposed to be in a rebuild. Unfortunately, nobody told the Comanche that as they pulled off one of the biggest upsets in recent GEFA history, beating the Cyclones by 20 to be the Valley Conference Champions.
