listen , life is rough . if you think that as PK’s this thought doesn’t cross our minds, lemme just say … IT DOES. — yes, this has crossed my mind various times, & it’s something we struggle to open up with anyone … depression is real, a little too real sometimes , but i can say with certainty that God is way bigger than the depression.

i was with some family over the weekend, & i just need to share this — if you’re a member of a church, please understand that we understand you love our parents .. & we’re thankful for that.. however, also please remember that your pastors have their own family… i overheard someone say that they didn’t visit the pastors in the hospital because their kids get jealous… i just wanna clarify, no, we’re not “jealous” of you guys, we just simply want to be able to enjoy our parents. we appreciate the love and support you give them, but we do want to be able to have our own time with our parents without having interruptions.. keep praying for your pastors, but also always pray for your pastors kids 🩷

keep this constant .. yes, the congregation needs you, however, your children need you most .. as school starts back up, take time out of your busy schedules and spend time with your children — doesn’t matter how old they are , it always feels great to have our parents to OURSELVES… if you have to cancel meetings, do so, turn of your phones, and just soak up the time with your families.
