The Descent is terrifying, purely because the idea of having a trip with your friends where you all intentionally go into a cave for fun is psychopathic. And then they get lost. And they're not alone down there.

Watch this movie if you're claustrophobic and you hate yourself.

Scream is Wes Craven's masterpiece, in fact, it's so good that we totally forgot that it was on last year's list.

This film is brilliant by itself but even more rewarding for nerds that have seen a lot of late 20th Century North American horror films. Watch if you like modern slashers that are self-referential and funny but still suspenseful.

Excited for the eight hundredth MCU film directed by Sam Raimi? Go back to his early work - but not too early because the first Evil Dead was ... not necessary. Evil Dead 2 acts like it never happened so we will too!

Watch this if you like your balls superglued to a wall with 80s horror, gore, cheese and Bruce Campbell.

The Victorian Minister for health Martin Foley MP acknowledged during the daily COVID briefing that it is in fact Wear it Purple Day and he wore his purple tie. Thanks Minister for your leadership! This is what he had to say:

"I just acknowledge that it's Wear It Purple Day, to acknowledge our vibrant young LGBTIQ+ community. And can I just say, the measures that have flowed from the Royal Commission into Victoria's mental health system have allocated Rainbow Door as the primary spot in which we would encourage young LGBTIQ+ people who are looking for support, for inclusive ways in which they can build response to the pandemic and other things, I would strongly recommend Rainbow Door."

For those us need us, we are here, call us if you are struggling, feeling overwhelmed, distressed or helping someone else through a difficult time. Talk with someone today, we’re here to listen and help.

Wear it Purple Day, celebrated this year on August 27, is about showing LGBTQ+ young people that they have the right to be proud of who they are. This year, we celebrate Wear it Purple Day through the theme "Start the conversation... Keep it going." Acknowledging that young LGBTQIA+ folks face unfair and disproportionate rates of bullying and discrimination, Wear It Purple reminds us that the inclusive conversations we start today are necessary year-round 💜

The Milkshake Video cost 3 million dollars.

That was about how much it cost to create the Rum Tum Tugger sequence in Cats (2019)

Three million dollars could have gone towards materially helping survivors of sexual abuse through resources such as temporary housing and counselling. That three million dollars probably could have bought Scotty M a better empathy consultant. Or hell, if you're gonna waste three million dollars, why not give it to Gerry Harvey so his profits from Jobkeeper can round up to a nice round $25 million.

This is what three million dollars gets you in terms of a "consent education" video commissioned by a government that fundamentally rejects the idea of consent on every level.

This week, we're going to be promoting sources for accessible mental health in general and for victims of abuse, because if our federal government won't support our mental health, someone should.

Stay well, stay safe and stay strong.

Fun Fact: Nick did a uni assignment on the clip that opens up our latest episode. It was an actual thing that a politician said in response to the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Australia.

The Federal member for the North Queensland seat of Kennedy, Bob Katter, explains why he doesn't really care about the same-sex marriage debate.
