🌎This year’s Alpine Sisters Keep it Wild Day of Service was one to remember! An all-women’s crew hiked into the @ridge_to_rivers trail system to remove old barbed wire fencing and restore this beautiful wild space to it’s natural state 🌿We cut the barbed wire, pulled out the old posts, wrapped the wire up, and hauled all of the materials back to a drop point. Not only does the removal allow safe passage for wildlife, but it allows the land to return to it’s natural state. All the while we got to meet other incredible women and bond all morning ☺️Thank you to @ridge_to_rivers for having us, and to our amazing volunteers @alimaynard921 @holly.rkr @womeness_community @heide_lindgren @heidelindgrenfitness @rebelrustudio and @alpine_diva for joining and serving our beloved Ridge to Rivers trail system ❤️💪🏼 Your efforts are so appreciated, and it was so fun getting to know you all better! We hope you can join us next time! How do you like to give back to your trail systems?
🌲 Does this sound like the inside of your head this week? We are definitely needing to escape the noise and find solace in the mountains this weekend! 🏔️
There's something about the crisp mountain air and the serene beauty of untouched wilderness that soothes the soul like nothing else. 🍃
Tag a friend you'd love to escape with and plan your mountain getaway together! 🌿

Different trail systems have different ecosystems and soil, with vastly different needs. Brand ambassador @idaho_vantastic_voyages shared some tips on how to protect our beloved wild spaces:
“Do you know what one of the leading causes of trail damage is? US! 😳
Spending time outside is something available to pretty much everyone. When you are fortunate enough to live in an area that has an extensive trail system, it is wonderful. It opens up opportunities to explore new areas, allows you to pick the length of your hike as well as the difficulty level.
But what happens if we fail to hike responsibly? Trails close and the many hours of hard work put in by volunteers goes to waste. In addition, you can destroy vegetation, increase erosion, cause people or animals injury when deep foot/hoof/paw prints freeze, and make it difficult to maintain and repair our beloved trails. Don’t let this happen.
If you enjoy the extensive trail system available to all of us in the Boise and surrounding areas, please do your part and be a responsible hiker.
This means:
🚫 Don’t hike on muddy trails.
✅ Check the trail conditions before you go out.
🚫 If the trail you were hoping to use has a high clay count and we’ve had rain or snow melt - please choose another one.
✅ If you find small sections of mud, walk or ride through it rather than leave the trail to go around.
Check out the Ridge to Rivers website at RidgeToRivers.org or their page when planning your hike. If you live outside the Boise area, check your local parks and recs website.
When we know better, we do better. Let’s all work together to keep these wonderful areas beautiful.
Any other tips you have, please share with us below! ⬇️”- @idaho_vantastic_voyages

View without the Crowds
We love that more and more people are getting out and enjoying all that the outdoors has to offer .... we also love those quiet, serene moments without the crowds!
Brand Ambassador @idaho_vantastic_voyages got to enjoy a perfect moment:
"Heaven is getting to one of your favorite spots and finding that nobody else is there.
📍Pettit Lake, Sawtooth Valley
Wherever you adventure, remember to leave no trace"- @idaho_vantastic_voyages
Where's the last place you visited where you got to enjoy a crowd-free nature moment?

Highest Peaks in Each of the 50 States
There are a ton of fun outdoor adventure challenges out there (like @52hikechallenge and @1000hoursoutside), but @ruggedoutdoorswoman got us thinking about a new potentially rad one:
"Black Elk Peak is South Dakota’s High Point.
That’s my fifth of the 50 high points. Another one of those mountain checklists that people like to check off.
To get all 50, you’ve got to summit rainier and Denali. Two technical mountaineering ascents. And after looking over the list yesterday I found that there are quite a few 10-14 thousand foot mountains on the list as well.
A few, including Katahdin and Humphreys in Az are already on my to hike list for other reasons— so it seems like without really meaning to, Im getting on my way toward list checking.
I really would love to summit Rainier someday because the mountain has become such a beautiful part of my life. Denali though? Not sure if that’ll ever make the list."- @ruggedoutdoorswoman
So does anyone know of anyone who has done all 50 of the highest peaks?! Very unique one!
Thanks for sharing @ruggedoutdoorswoman!

Happiness Outside
We definitely think life is best spent outdoors 😁
@marienaudon reminds us that "You can't control everything," but you can definitely make an effort to spend time in places that bring you joy 🥰
We hope you're going to spend the weekend doing something that makes you feel alive! Happy trails!

Soundtrack to the Final View
When you get to your summit or final viewpoint of the hike, does epic music start playing in your head? 😆 It totally does for us! Let's hear your favorite epic songs for the final view 👇🏽
Community member @emma_rbrrt found the perfect one to showcase this incredible view!
"First real hike in the Rockies (except ski touring), first spring, first summer season in these magnificent and majestic mountains, and we start very strong with an incredible view on the "Three Sisters" of Canmore, that we don't present anymore! A demanding and steep hike with a high elevation gain for a short distance, a committed recovery, but the view is well worth it! Lucky for us that the summits were clear when we arrived, because we were starting in the rain 😂"- @emma_rbrrt
Glad the rain cleared up just in time, and thanks for sharing!
Dog Days
Raise your hand if you think life is better outside with your dog 🙋🏽♀️
We believe in getting your pups out as much as possible on your adventures 😁 Starting them out on small adventures, but early on, helps create an adventure pup for life ❤️
Thanks @lyndseyfoxx for sharing this adorable moment of pure joy 🥰🐶🌲
