We are grateful to have released the music Bill Peitsch, gone 15 years ago yesterday. Bill was a member of the Church Keys and Purple Wizard and wrote songs for Andre Williams. Purple Wizard was a group comprised of members of the Church Keys, The Prissteens and FF in New York City ca. 2004, when we released these recordings. Bill was very enthusiastic about Full Tilt and helped is out in the early days of the label. “Stalker” is a great representation of Bill’s energy, humor and personality. He affiliated his songs with the publisher BMI because, as he taught us, in the early days ASCAP would only sign white artists. James “The Hound” Marshall has a great remembrance of Bill titled “Bill Peitsch 1962-2007 The Last King Of Rock’n’Roll” on thehoundblog.blogspot.com. He was a treasure. Backed here by Lori Yorkman and Leslie Day on guitar, John Chalmers on bass and Dave Lindsay on drums. Here’s to Bill.
