We had such an awesome weekend in 7 Springs, PA! We would recommend TAC to everyone, it is definitely the Total Archery Challenge! Notes to self.. snacks, water, good boots, and plenty of arrows!

Now that our turkey seasons have came to an end, we are left reminiscing on a season that we will never forget! The 2023/2024 season is one that will be engraved in us for a lifetime, all of our hard work and time spent learning this amazing game really showed for us this year wether it be deer, bear or turkey. A season like this would’ve never been possible without the help of some truly great hunting buddies we are lucky enough to call best friends and family. Now it’s time to do it all over again, TheRutGrind is just getting started…

I am truly falling in love with this game of chasing the thunder. This bird gave us a run for our money having two hens with him that did not want him near our calling. We shifted around multiple times trying to pull the hens, hoping to bring him in on their tail since he showed no sign of leaving them. After 2 hours of watching him strut around, we made our fourth setup attempt on them. We snuck into a position inside their bubble with hopes they would pass by in range, and continued some light calling hoping to perk their interest. This ole boy popped up with his hens at 10/12 yards making for an amazing shot opportunity, and that was all she wrote. Blessed is an understatement with the season we have had!

VA public land camp bird! My buddies Steven Matthews , Hunter Christian and I decided to take a little camping trip for the weekend. After 2 hard days of hunting we located this bird deep in some land locked public, Hunter did his thing and got us some access permission and we knew it was on for the next morning. We slipped in early the next morning expecting them to roost nearby and sure enough the first gobble was about 200 yards above us. We got setup in a spot we were confident in and after about 45 minutes of calling this ole boy was looking down the gun barrel. Thankful for good friends and these amazing animals, such a fun weekend!

Va Public Land treated us good again today! This makes number 4 for us, chasing these birds just doesn’t get old! We battled the wind for an hour or two this morning until we heard this bird strike off on the opposite side of the mountain. We busted it over to him on a walking trail covering a mountain mile in less than 15 minutes to sneak in tight, and call him right in our lap for a quick shot at 10/15 yards! Huge shoutout to Andrew, and Tyler for working together throwing some calls he just couldn’t resist!

The WV opener couldn’t have treated us any better this morning! We got set up on these birds right off the roost in a very tight spot and after an hour or so of calling Ty’s bird finally popped his head up at 11 yards! After he made quick work of him he handed me the gun and I knocked mine down at 55-60 yards! An opening day double is always hard to beat but doubling up with your brother will always be that much more special. We were once again able to capture the hunt on video but it got a little western! These turkey videos will be on the YouTube ASAP and we hope y’all can enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed making them!

Opening weekend, VA Public land mountain bird down! Once we located this bird and 2 others we circled to the bottom of the ridge they were on expecting them to rotate towards us off the roost, after they hit the ground it was an hour of non stop gobbling and a lot of calling which led to all 3 of them pitching off the ridge right on top of us and that was all she wrote! This was one of the most exciting turkey hunts we have ever been on and we are excited to share it with y’all soon! Keep your eye out for this hunt on the YouTube channel and hopefully more just like it in the next few weeks. ⛰️🎥🦃

The final bear for us this year to cap off the 2023 season! We spotted this 130lb boar at around .8 miles in the snow as he was walking out a ridge above a highwall, we busted it to him and packed the hounds. They put him on a limb in around 30 minutes! An awesome hunt in the rugged mountains of Southern, WV in the snow! Thank you all for the continued support, make sure to checkout our YouTube Channel as we continue to edit and post videos.
