The story making the rounds at Ndoji Abam in arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State is that the judgment in a case expected to be delivered on the 30th March, 2021 is a foregone conclusion as one of the parties in the Ezeship tussle in the community between Samson Orji Arunsi and Sunday Kalu Okpi has bribed the Judge in charge of the case. The case number is HAR/15/2010.
One of the parties is said to be boasting to his close confidants that the Judge has assured him of a favorable judgment after receiving gratification from him.
Although the rumor may be false, it would be nice for the Chief Judge of the State, the Attorney General and all those interested in the fair dispensation of justice to be vigilant to ensure that the judgment in the case is without reproach, and that the Abia State judiciary is not brought into disrepute and ridicule.
Furthermore, it is said that this supposed party goes about with ego and assurance to the extent of revealing to close confidants that the Judge has assured him of a favourable judgement on reception of gratification from him.
Although the rumor may be false, as there is no proven evidence, it would be of great impact if the Chief judge of the State, the Attorney General and all those interested in the fair dispensation of justice are vigilant to ensure that judgement in this case and others to come is done without reproach. We sincerely do hope that the Abia State judiciary upholds its honour and it is not brought into disrepute and ridicule
