Mental illness is a serious issue, and I am certainly not undermining how it can have influence over people. However, I am tired of mental illness being used as an excuse to pardon bad behavior. April Addison (whose real name is April McLaughlin, apologies for not getting that correct in my episode), has a damn criminal track record that is clearly a pattern. That indicates to me, she KNEW what she was doing. She knew how desperate and overwhelmed the rescue community is due to their endless job of saving animals. Imagine the work it takes to care for special needs dogs...Especially the money that will come in to care for them through donations...Ahh, bingo...That's why she got into the rescue community pretending to be a non-profit organization for special needs dogs.
So spare me the argument of mental illness...This wicked witch from the south west is a con artist and a thief. She knew what she was doing!!
UPDATE: As of today (Sunday, Sept.24th) April McLaughlin is out on bail due to her mother bailing her out...π€¦π»ββοΈ I may update further in another episode, but I will hold off on doing so until I have enough information to share.
