Head of Religious Affairs announces the issuance of Royal Approval for the organization of a major seminar titled:
"Fatwa in the Two Holy Mosques and its Impact on Facilitating for their Visitors," in its second edition, within the precincts of the Prophet's Mosque.

The Head of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, announced the issuance of royal approval for the organization of a major scientific symposium titled "Fatwa in the Two Holy Mosques and Its Impact on Facilitating the Pilgrims' Journey," in its second edition, within the premises of the Prophet's Mosque.

He emphasized that the organization of this symposium is an extension of the efforts of the leaders of this blessed country in serving the Two Holy Mosques, conveying their noble message to the world, in accordance with the balanced approach of the Kingdom derived from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet Muhammad.

He explained that the gracious approval for organizing this symposium is a support for the transformation in the methods of issuing fatwas, facilitating them, and systematizing them to meet the religious needs of the pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques, assisting them in performing their worship rituals.

He stated that this blessed country remains, by the grace of Allah, keen on caring for the jurisprudence of fatwa due to its significant importance in keeping up with legal issues and jurisprudential developments, in line with the objectives of Islamic Sharia, and its effective impact on the individual, society, and the nation.

He added that the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to hold this symposium reflects the state's concern for fatwa, given its direct impact on the pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques, enriching their spiritual journey.

He emphasized the importance of the fatwa, the necessity of qualifying the muftis, acquainting them with the evidence of legal rulings, their ability to derive legal conclusions, connecting branches to the foundations, and addressing contemporary issues based on principles and rules while taking into account the reward in conveying this religion and advising Muslims.

He stressed the importance of the message of the Two Holy Mosques in clarifying the correct methodology in fatwa, enhancing its role, status, and position in the hearts of Muslims, and spreading the Islamic methodology with its principles, branches, rulings, and legislation based on moderation and balance to the entire world.

Previously, the Presidency of Religious Affairs had organized the first edition of the symposium under the title "Fatwa in the Two Holy Mosques and Its Impact on Facilitating the Pilgrims' Journey" at the Grand Mosque.

The significance of holding the second edition of the symposium within the premises of the Prophet's Mosque is a manifestation of the place that witnessed legislation, events, and rulings, enriching the subject of fatwa by experts. This contributes to the benefit of the pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques in performing their worship rituals, especially since fatwa plays a crucial role in elucidating Islamic sciences and performing rituals and ceremonies in accordance with the guidance in an easy, moderate, and balanced manner.

The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Abuja celebrated the 93 National Day of Saudi Arabia at its Ambassador's Residence, which was attended by government officials, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations in Abuja as well as businessmen among others. In his speech on this occasion, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria H.E. Faisal bin Ebraheem Alghamdi highlighted that the Kingdom is celebrating 93 years of unifying parts of the Kingdom by King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud -May Allah rest his soul- under one strong entity built on tolerant Islamic creed in which equality, justice and confidence prevails, and as the first fixed-line model in the modern era of Middle East.

The Kingdom's Ambassador also described the historic relations between the Kingdom and Nigeria as firm and growing since the inception of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1961. Wishing the best of luck and success to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Ambassador also disclosed that more than 200,000 Nigerian pilgrim, mu'tamir and visitors visited the Kingdom last year, and the Kingdom has given more than 200 scholarships to Nigerian students to studies in different Kingdom's universities. He added that the trade volume between the two countries is more than $600m.

On Humanitarian aid to the Nigerian people. The Kingdom's Ambassador disclosed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – May Allah protect him- has given directives to execute Nur-Saudi Voluntary Campaign in Nigeria, which will be implemented in stage; the first stage had been executed which targeted combatting blindness and its causes, while a number of open-heart and urology surgeries had been performed as well. The Ambassador congratulated the parent of Nigerian conjoined twin whom where successfully separated in the Kingdom last May, in surgery no 56 performed by the Kingdom in separating conjoined twin from across the world.
In conclusion, the Ambassador extended thanks and appreciation to the brotherly and friendly countries among which is Federal Republic of Nigeria, for its support to the Kingdom's bid to host World Expo 2030 in Riyadh, which coincided with the targeted date of the Saudi Vision 2030.

King Salman Relief Center Launches Medical Project for Open Heart Surgery in Nigeria
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched yesterday the voluntary medical project for open-heart surgery for adults in Kano State, Federal Republic of Nigeria, with the participation of 20 volunteers, in cooperation with the Muslim World League.
From the inception of the campaign, the dedicated and passionate volunteer medical team at the center has undertaken a remarkable feat by successfully executing four intricate open-heart surgeries. These surgeries, each an intricate tapestry of medical skill and compassionate care, stand as shining examples of the team's unwavering commitment to restoring health and hope to those in need.
The project comes within the framework of the support provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center to support the medical sector in Nigeria, and to establish a culture of volunteer work among members of Saudi society, in accordance with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
This partnership serves as a testament to the power of unity in the face of adversity, where organizations spanning geographical distances join forces to make a tangible difference in the lives of countless individuals.
As the voluntary medical project unfolds in Kano State, it paints a vivid picture of human compassion prevailing over adversity. With every open-heart surgery performed, a narrative of transformation is written, one that reflects the profound impact of human kindness and expertise of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Nigeria.
It could be recalled that in June, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia resolved to establish an open-heart surgery centre in Kano in order to reduce prevalence of medical conditions that require open heart surgery in the country.
Khalid Ahmad Al-adamawi, Saudi Arabian Consul to Nigeria, who visited Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, briefed the governor on the on-going open-heart surgery at Aminu Kano Teaching hospital (AKTH).
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre recently also started a Volunteer Medical Programme for Urology Procedures in Kano State, Nigeria. From 6 to 11 August 2023, the volunteer medical team conducted 65 surgeries.
The foundation is implementing a series of outreach programs to provide patients around the world with advanced medical treatment which otherwise might not be available to them.

The National Security Advisors and Representatives of a Number of Countries and International Organizations Concluded their meeting in Jeddah Regarding the Ukrainian Conflict.

On Saturday August 5th, 2023, a meeting was held in Jeddah for National Security Advisors and representatives from over 40 countries and international organizations, including the United Nations, with His Excellency Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers, National Security Advisor Dr. Mosaad bin Mohammad Al-Aiban chairing the meeting. The participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for calling for this meeting and hosting it.
This meeting comes as a continuation of the efforts and good offices of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, that His Royal Highness has been exerting in this regard since March 2022.

In Implementation of Directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Surgery to Separate Nigerian Siamese Twins Begins.

Riyadh, May 18, 2023, SPA --In implementation of directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, a medical and surgical team, led by Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, this morning began a surgery to separate Nigerian Siamese twins Hassana and Hasina, children of Omar Rayano. The surgery is being carried out with the participation of 35 consultants, specialists, nursing and technical personnel at the King Abdullah Specialist Hospital for Children of the King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard in Riyadh.
Dr. Al Rabeeah explained that the surgery is expected to be performed through eight stages and will take about 14 hours, noting that the twins were born in Kaduna, Nigeria on January 12, 2022, and they share the abdomen, pelvis, liver, intestines, urinary and reproductive system, and pelvic bones.
He added that the Saudi program for the separation of Siamese twins has supervised 130 cases from 23 countries over 33 years and separated 55 cases, and this is the 56th case.

19th April is International day for monuments and sites. Exactly 1 year ago (19th April, 2022) I was invited as one of the discusants by the then Curator of the National Meseum (Gidan Makama, Kano) Oga Adam who passed away a couple of days ago. May his soul rest in Jannatul Firdaus.

Haramain General Presidency announces the readiness of the Grand Mosque to receive worshippers during Ramadan’s last 10 days.

The General Presidency for the affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque (General Presidency of Haramain), represented by the Third Saudi Expansion Agency, announced the readiness of the third Saudi expansion of the Grand Mosque to receive worshippers during the last ten days of Ramadan through a system of field, engineering and technical services, and the implementation of works according to operational plans and human cadres of engineers, technicians, observers, and labor. They work round the clock for the comfort and safety of Grand Mosque visitors.

Field service plans were implemented in all expansion building roles. The squares were prepared from all pillars and passages for those coming from the Jarwal tunnels and Jabal Al-Kaaba, according to the plans prepared for the last ten days of Ramadan, in addition to intensifying cleaning and perfuming operations round the clock and ensuring Zamzam water drinkers operation and securing containers.

The doors were also equipped, carpets were secured in all chapels, attention was paid to all engineering and technical aspects of the third Saudi expansion, the operation of elevators and escalators, the operation of the air conditioning system according to standards that take into account air temperatures and air purity, in addition to the operation of the internal and external lighting system, all sound systems and their effectiveness, and the preparation of entrances and exits.

His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah receives the delegation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and signs an agreement with them on arrangements for the Hajj season 1444 AH


On the sidelines of the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition (Hajj Expo 2023), His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah signed a number of agreements with countries upon receiving their delegations.
His Excellency signed an agreement with the delegation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for the arrangements for the Hajj season 1444 AH. The agreement includes the allocated quota, ports and means of arrival and departure, as well as organizational instructions that enhance the safety and comfort of the pilgrims from the moment of preparation for the journey of a lifetime until leaving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Hajj Expo 2023 is the largest gathering and event related to Hajj and Umrah, as it brought together more than 57 countries, more than 70 speakers and experts, with the participation of 200 companies specialized in the Hajj and Umrah sector, and the attendance of more than 60,000 visitors to the exhibition.
This large gathering was a space for exchanging visions, ideas, innovations and experiences, and it is an opportunity for countries to be present to sign their agreements and arrange the affairs of their citizens in advance of the Hajj and Umrah seasons, and this is reflected in the comfort of the guests of Rahman and the facilitation of their affairs.
It is worth noting that the conference, during four days in forty workshops, in addition to nine main sessions, discussed several topics that contribute to developing the experience of pilgrims, employing digital solutions, and working to build an integrated and sustainable system to develop and enhance the services provided, and achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
All these efforts come within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s endeavor to provide distinguished services to the Guests of God, and work to enrich their experience at all levels of logistics, security, technology, as well as cultural and knowledge, through the Program of Guests of God and the concerted efforts of all government sectors, the private sector, entrepreneurs and partners. from around the world
