Returning to the label for the first interpretation of Runaway is Q.U.A.K.E. Netanel Assaraf aka Q.U.A.K.E has been a fixture of the electronic underground for over a decade. Operating at the heart of the melodic house and techno movement, he has amassed an impressive resume, with standout projects via ERRORR, Running Clouds, Spectrum, and Miss Moniques Siona Records. Astral Records has also been a primary landing spot for his elusive sound, with four discography credits spread across the last two years, the latest of which being 2024s Introspection, a project recorded alongside KASIA (ofc) and Vincenzo Sarti. Having ended the year with a pair of vehicles for Running Clouds, Q.U.A.K.E. now opens 2025 with a stunning rendition of Runaway. Adding further depth to the release, Q.U.A.K.E. opts for a peak time approach, focusing on a dynamic blend of warm grooves, deconstructed vocals and panoramic chord stabs, while tastefully incorporating the originals distinctive sonic traits, sealing what is an emotive journey to complement its predecessor in fine style.

Hailing from Italy, Francesco and Davide make up the Monophase creative collective. First emerging in 2019, the duo was quickly recognized for their dark atmospheric sound. Releases via DOA Electronic, Running Clouds, Somatic and Steyoyoke were well-received, making the duo a fast rising act within the world of melodic house and techno. Support from Tale Of Us and Kevin di Vries would follow shortly thereafter, propelling the duo to subsequent projects via Automatik, Impressum and ZAMNA. Perhaps most notable however was a contribution to the Afterlife's popular Realm Of Consciousness series with Elevate, a club-effective piece co-produced with acclaimed German artist Recondite. With 2023s Last Shred of Light marking their Astral Records debut, Monophase now finds their way back to the label for a powerful remix of Runaway. Flowing through poignant synth swagger and uplifting themes, the first act not only balances a dark light dynamic perfectly, but also evolves with an effortless ease, eventually revealing an emotive break complete with a tasteful marriage of re-processed vocals and muted tonal themes; an appealing coax that is sure to captivate even the most discerning of dancefloors, before a finale that is equal parts electric and emotive ensues.

Originally from Rio Grande do Sul, the artist Moonphazes has quickly proven to be a talent to watch in the new generation of Brazilian DJs and producers. At 25 years old, the artist from Southern Brazil has already gained support from several artists around the world with his productions, such as Tale Of Us, Vintage Culture, Fideles, Cassian, Massano, Kevin De Vries, Innellea, Korolova, among others. Recently, in 2024, he achieved a historic milestone in his career by releasing an official remix for Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso, for the track 'Skip,' a release that marked a turning point in his artistic journey.

𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘇𝗲𝘀, 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗼, 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇 - 𝗥𝗮𝗮𝗴 𝗘𝗣

We round out a successful year by welcoming Moonphazes, Luccas Deo and Fernandez to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Brazil, this trio of the talented artists has enjoyed measurable success across their respective solo careers. With a fresh approach to melodic house and techno, Moonphazes, Luccas and Fernandez have compiled an impressive discography in recent years. Projects via ERROR, Panda Lab, Purified and more have yielded support from Agents Of Time, Fideles, Kevin de Vries, Korolova, Miss Monique, Nora En Pure and Vintage Culture, amongst others. With Moonphazes and Luccas being occasional studio partners in the past, the duo now combines their extensive forces with Fernandez, making their Astral Records debut with Raag. Selection one Vortex finds Moonphazes and Fernandez masterfully synthesizing their talents for a dancefloor journey that is both dynamic and club-effective. Equally at home above a festival skyline or sitting in the sweet spot of a primetime club set, the duos pyrotechnic synths and fragmented siren-like lead blanket a muscular low end that is charged with boundless energy. A trance-inspired break pushes the narrative forward with tension and emotion, before a colossal build reveals a twisted finale. The release concludes with Moonphazes and Luccas collaborating on the EPs title selection Raag. With past projects for Awen Records, ERRORR and Panda Lab, the duo's creative synergy continues to grow on their Astral debut. Vocal hypnotism and charged synths dazzle throughout, while muscular grooves and robust rhythmic structures seal what is a peak time masterpiece.
