Have not put brush to Mini is some time. Set up a temporary work area today and managed to knock out the complete OoB for Falklands 1914.

Nothing like a convention to motivate you. Next week I plan to run this scenario at HMGS-Midwest Little Wars (near Chicago) using the 1982 board game War in the Falklands 1914 scenario which was a favorite growing up. Players will use the game for operational moves and resolve combat using Naval Thunder.

Just a few more ships and I will have Battle of Coronel OoB complete as well along with a few merchants for the scenario.

For those keen observers yes, I am using topside miniatures (printed 1/2400) mounted on Litko acrylic for my bases. Saves some painting and labeling.

Next up Dogger Bank and then Jutland. 😉

This past weekend was HMGS-Midwest Little Wars in Lisle, IL. I ran multiple Naval Thunder Russo-Japanese War scenarios Friday and Saturday.

HMGS -Midwest Little wars is quickly approaching later this month (22-24 April 2022).

Only 10 slots remain of the 26 offered for the events I am hosting.

If you want to get some Naval Gaming in check it out and sign up now. Refighting the major naval engagements of the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-05 These are two of the mega battles I only do at conventions.

Many other historical games are also available throughout the weekend (approx. 150) along with vendors. Attendance is capped this year, so do not delay in getting your badge.

Once again getting paid to play with toy soldiers.

I changed the display at Noble Knight Games to feature the Battle of Rorkes Drift from January 22, 1879.

If you are in Fitchburg, WI area stop by to check out the display as well as the amazing store here at Noble Knight Games.

The display should be up for the next month. It is comprised of my personal collection. Majority of the figures are Warlord Games with some Wargames Factory, Black Tree Design and Empress mixed in.

Working to get the next project done. This time French and Indian War.

Originally planned to use for Sharp Practice. Since then Black Powder supplement for FIW came out and discovered othe possibilities.

First step is to get them painted. Like many of my 28mm I am basing individually to provide maximum flexibility for various rule systems using magnetic strips if I need formed units.

Thought my Brits were done then I discovered Highlanders and another box of regs on sale.

Depending on the rules may need to expand in the future. Either way I probably need to acquire some arty.

New display at work. Always great to get paid to set up toy soldiers.

Went with WWII Bolt Action this time. My Early War French with Display board I did for Adepticon US Nationals in 2019. Added Early War Blitzkrieg Germans around the edge.

Worked with our purchaser to make sure Nobel Knight games is freshly stocked with Bolt Action.

Took time to put part of my Blood & Plunder collection on the table for a few pics.

Pretty pleased with how they turned out and more so that I finally completed them. Need to get a few games in to determine what other units may be desired including terrain.

The three buildings are from the estate of my good friend Mike Bates who recently passed away. I thought they fit perfect for this period. His memory will live on in many games to come.

After completing my Blood & Plunder Sloop I made some serious progress on the Brigantine. Base coat is done, on to washes and dry brushing next.

Methodically making progress on Blood & Plunder. Sloop, two longboats and all figures are now complete.

Sloop includes initial rigging. Have not decided what I will use or if I will do sails yet. Honestly for game play no sails or sails up might be the better way to go.

Now on to the Brigantine which is primed and masts assembled.

So close to actually completing a project. Not bad considering I thought about selling this project off several months ago.

Switched gears this week on the hobby table from WWII to 1600s Blood and Plunder.

Stocked the store front at Noble Knight with Blood and Plunder this past weekend and decided to pull out my collection to evaluate where it is at.

It is closer to completion than I recall, so time to get it done and on the table.

Apparently I had 4 units started and the ships are now primed. Plan to finish the units first and then the ships.

Recently purchased my first Bolt Action units in a long time after purging several Armies in the last year.

Down to three Aemies, Early War French, Early War Germans and IJA.

French and IJA are fairly complete. Now looking to round out some of my Early War Germans.

Other than Warlord who are some other manufactures for Early War Geeman figs and Vehicles?

Primarily looking for Artillery and Tanks and Aromored cars.

I had the opportunity to play Bolt Action in person this past Friday at Little Wars gaming convention in Lombard, IL.

While there I picked up a 3rd French motorcycle and was motivated to get it painted today.

With the addition of recent vehicles I was out of room, so I created a new box as well as relabeled and reorganized my French Army so it is ready to go next opportunity to play.
