Managing director and CEO of Warragul’s Fairview Village, Dianne Wallace, is working on a unit refurbishment project in conjunction with Quantum Support Services to provide temporary housing for older women experiencing homelessness.
She hopes the units will be completed by the end of this year.
Quantum Support Services manager Emma Dobson says older women in Gippsland experiencing homelessness, or at risk of experiencing homelessness, are struggling for a number of reasons.
