**REPOST **
It’s super disappointing when you think you’ve found a brand that “gets it”, that describes themselves as “body positive” and talks about the dangers of diet culture… only to start pushing weight loss and upholding diet culture rhetoric that sees our body shape as something 100% within our control if we just wOrK HArD enough 🥴 Gah, make it stop 😵‍💫
[Image description: A tweet from Molly which reads “FYI fitness brands you can’t claim to be “body positive” if you’re using before and after photos to sell your product. It’s literally diet culture 101. Do better.]

topic that hasn’t come up recently on the pod is thin privilege. What is it?⬇️
-
As Christy explained, thin privilege for her meant that it was a little easier to start intuitive eating because society wasn’t pressuring her to change her body. This is just one aspect of thin privilege and how it intersects with intuitive eating, but this is a BIG topic! (maybe a future pod episode..?)

We have talked about thin privilege before. Check out our episode with Haley Goodrich, “What is Thin Privilege” to hear a more in depth conversation about it!

In our latest episode with ½ of the team we talk a bit about how to teach your kids to eat “healthy.”
-
Sometimes parents will put foods into categories of good and bad foods to try to teach their kids about how to eat nutritiously, but that in turn teached them that some foods are better than others. This can take them away from intuition and ultimately doe\sn’t achieve your goals of empowering them to make food choices that make them feel amazing!

It truly would not be a WTAF episode if we didn’t mention 🤣
-
Healing from diet culture takes TIME. If you’ve been dieting for 10+ years, it will take a long time to switch from a professional dieter to an intuitive eater and that’s normal.
-
This episode is such a good one for anyone struggling with disordered eating or substance abuse or anyone in therapy. We all know someone dealing with these things and listening to this episode might just make you a better friend, partner, sibling, mother, etc.

**REPOST .intuitive.eaters**
QUICK GUIDE to ditching the sweets obsession. Save it for reference!

Lots of parents are worried that their kids are obsessed with sweets. So, if you think about this often, you are not alone.

It is NORMAL to enjoy the taste of sweet foods. It is NORMAL to ask for sweet foods... because they taste good!

But sneaking foods or constantly begging for sweets are signs that there is room to grow towards seeing sweets as a neutral food.

Tell me all your thoughts! Are there other sweets related topics you'd like to see a post on?? 🍭
